I would like to preface this by saying that I understand the challenges of opening a new establishment, I understand it has to be even more challenging in an environment where people are benefitting more from not working at this time. That being said, the good; it's a clean, well kept establishment, it's new, it should be. The food is good and the people are generally pleasant. The bad; wait times. Like a lot of people, I have a very busy schedule and thus, my time for lunch, waiting in a drive thru is limited and I place a premium on it. Two weeks ago, I ordered a dozen and a half bagels, schmear and 8 fruit cups for a weekly meeting. I live in San Jacinto and work in Colton, I figured if I ordered them when I first got on the freeway, the order should be ready when I arrived, completely wrong assumption. When I arrived, they had just finished slicing the bagels and had not begun the fruit cups. Today, I ordered my lunch on the app, nothing complicated, BBQ chicken salad and a bowl of vegetable soup. When I arrived at the time the app told me it would be ready, it would seem the whole waiting room had the same realization that I had, my order wasn't ready. After about 10 minutes of waiting and observing 2 separate parties asking to speak with the manager, we were all finally told that the wait was not about 30 minutes. Realizing it would take me longer to negotiate a refund and go elsewhere, I stuck it out and got my order, which was correct, and very good by the way. Manager, I'm not sure how long you've been in the game, but this is your problem to own. Please don't hide in the back office and let your people take the hit from angry customers. Step up and lead your team from the front. Eventually, I will be back, and I may upgrade my review. For now, I think I'll continue to order from the San Bernardino site, and give you space and time to straighten it out. I'll see you in...
Read moreYou call can see the 1.5 rating this Panera has on Yelp. Believe it and go somewhere else. They don't even deserve that and likely their 5 star ratings were put in by their employees. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER do any sort of catering order from them. They will screw it up and then try to blame you. We just had a large catering order for our school. We put everything in well ahead of time and it never arrived. When we called, we got one excuse after another and then they finally tried to say that we "cancelled the order" the night before. But they could not produce anything that proved that. If they had just said that they were sorry and then worked quickly to fill and deliver the order it might still have been okay. But they decided that it was far more important to CYA the entire time and then finally tried to lie about it.
If you want to ruin your event and have everyone at your business/school/organization mad at you then by all means go with this Panera. That is what they excel at as they are terrible at...
