Five Guys — Restaurant in Rich Township

Me & my children’s father had the worst experience at this location today. There are some choice words that I would like to use but, for better words, the Matteson location is trifling. I ordered a veggie sandwich and a regular Cajun fries online for pickup. My children’s father went to pick it up, and they really skimped him on the fries….like, really bad. He politely asked them if they could put some more fries in the bag, and the female employee was very rude to him, and told him that she’s just giving him enough for what he paid for. He then tells her that he thought it was Five Guys trademark, and that they are known to put a nice amount of fries in the bag. She rudely told him that she’s not about to go back and forth with him, and that he could just get his money back. So, he said that that was fine. Then, the employee who just told him that he can get his money back tells him that she doesn’t know how to give him his money back for an online order. That doesn’t make a lick of sense to me. If you’re going to be rude to a customer, and tell him that he can get his money back, then at least have a big enough brain to know how to do it. So, he left, and he did NOT get his money back.I will be talking to someone higher up in regards to my refund, as well as the rude people that they have working there. Friendly service John was very helpful and knowledgeable. He upsold the oil change service and explained the high mileage properties of the service that saved me money over what I was asking. The tire a was looking for was the last set on stock and was set aside for me even though I could not make it in for the service for three days. I did not have to pay up front for the reservation. During the tire service they discovered my vehicle was out of alignment and called to inform me of the issues and an approval to fix the problem. I could not give a 5 star because the trouble light on the dash for my tire monitoring service was not addressed during the service after I specifically requested and approved the repair at the time of drop off. This caused multiple trips to the shop and an overnight stay of my vehicle at the shop. John did call before the close of business but I was not able to return a second time before they closed. My first time ever at Five Guys. I heard they were good. I spent $24 to find out they are not good at all. I can only assume it's just this particular location that is bad. I ordered a pickup via the website. When I got there I had to wait for the fries, then he forgot my milkshake, I had to ask for it. Strangely, the whole bag was filled with fries, but I only ordered a small one. I had to ask if the burger was in there too because it was buried under fries. Got it home to discover both the fries and the burger were soggy. The shake didn't taste very chocolate-like either. I could detect another flavor in there. Oh well, my poor experience teaches me that Culver's and Dairy Queen down the street are much better options. I'll never take a chance on Five Guys again, lesson learned.
