Big Shucks Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar — Restaurant in Richardson

DO NOT EAT HERE (31 dollars for tiny misleading portions and a clam chowder that will make you literally sick to your stomach) Went there last night on a Friday, it seemed to have good ratings and was open till 11. We walk in and it seems pretty casual which I’m a fan so that was good in my book. We order I get shrimp po boy my gf gets pick 2 shrimp and crab cake and side of potatoes. She gets like 3-4 measly shrimp 1 crab cake and a small bowl with some boiled potatoes. I got a seemingly big po boy sandwich, I should say misleading it was a small roll cut in half on top of quite a few steak fries. Then it was a lot of bread too not even a good portion and this was 10.99. My girlfriends on the other hand was even worse a few shrimp and 1 ONE crab cake for 9.99. It didn’t even taste all that great it was very basic fried shrimp and a decent crab cake and po boy that was more bread than anything. We eat and most any other 10-11 dollar meal would reasonably fill you up this did not not even close. Oh but it gets worse, so I can tell my girlfriend is still hungry I am too. So I order the clam chowder, the guy grabs a bowl disappears in the back a minute or two and comes back with this “clam chowder that was a warning side already. Now I love clam chowder even canned kinds can satisfy my craving. This clam chowder which makes me physically sick thinking about it again was sour like spoiled gone bad. I tried 2 bites barely and had to stop because it was literally making me sick. Fast forward to 2-3 am I’m trying to sleep I get horrible stomach pain. So to summarize overpriced for tiny portions and not even good quality and clam chowder that is worse than Campbell’s and will make you sick. Oh yeah and the soup was 8 dollars the entire meal was 31 dollars for this garbage pile of a restaurant do not go to this restaurant you can do so much better anywhere else and for...

Really a bad to worse service! The first time I called from my store 15 mins before I get there, I pick food up and when I came back to my store and check my order it was wrong, I called and ask for the manager; he was nice but I decide to buy food at another place and ask for my refund here at Big Shuck. Second time was dine in and the order was also wrong, and what about tonite 10/26/2017?

Tonite I decide to take my wife and son to get some seafood and by my surprise they serve the three orders wrong three wrong orders at the same time. I guess the guy who is taking the orders is working "high" because never ever take the order good. I better left this place behind and I will never comeback..... I am in my way up to Plano, TX. To another seafood shack.

I do not recommend this place at all, even if I live just a few blocks from here, I prefer to drive miles and miles away for a good service.

I will bit delete my last two reviews and I will rate this place from 1 star up to 3 stars by now because I was there two more times and the manager this time was so nice with me and the order esa okay. Kepp Gong like this and I will rate your place with more stars....

(03/23/2018) Happened again! I was last nite with my family and they took my order wrong AGAIN!! What happens with you fellas? Are you in drugs? Why you do not pay attention? IT IS TO HARD TO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT I JUST WANT 1 POUND OF SHIRMP + SAUSAGE + CORN + POTATOE? Damn!! Your restaurant is the only one option in the neighborhood that is the reason we keep going and giving you the REMOTE chance to proof your service is becoming better but guess what? ...... YOU DESERVE 0...

Terrible experience there. Picked up an order to go Sunday at 11:30. They didn't properly bag the crawfish in plastic bags. They also packed them on their side. This caused a huge mess in my wife's car as well as spilling/hurting my 14 year old daughter who was holding the bags in the process. The bag was literally disintegrated. We immediately went back to the sore (we barely made on Coit when my daughter complained it was burning her.

The 1st guy we spoke to only offered napkins and I had to ask for a manager. She refunded the purchase but that was it. My daughter's legs were soaked in it and the seats have crawfish juices stuck in them because it's leather w/ heated seats. The got on both seats in the front because when my daughter handed it to me it dripped from the car a lot all the way to the counter.

The manager never came out and looked at what happened either. We were the only customers there at the time so there's no excuse for this lack of service. Wife is livid because of the seats and odor we can't get out.

This place charges a premium price and needs to provide better service for it. On top of that, this early in the crawfish season, they shouldn't be so small

What really tips the scale was the manager on duty didnt seem like it was important. On last Sunday, the manager said the general manager would contact us, but never did.
