Grandma Ann's Nutbread — Restaurant in Richland Township

I bought 4 items, including nut bread, nut horns, lady locks , and a box of assorted homemade cookies, although the cookies were from Theresa's Italian Bakery, they were sold on the rack with Gramdma Ann's product. I didn't realize they were another brand. I purchased bakery goods on Thursday 8/24, 2017. I served them, for out of town company, fri 8/25. My guest ate a bite of the Theresa cookie, and put it down, I asked what was the problem, she stated it was HARD AS A ROCK. AND SO WERE OTHER OF THE COOKIES. SHE ASKED ME IF I WAS SERVING CHRISTMAS COOKIES, IN AUGUST. THEY ARE SO HARD.!!!!!!! I REALIZE NOW AS I LOOK AT THE BOX, THERE IS A RED STAR COOKIE, AND OTHER COOKIES WITH RED, WHITE AND BLUE SPRINKLES, THEY MUST BE FROM JULY...I AM SO EMBARRASSED, WHEN I WENT TO SUCH DETAILS TO SERVE A NICE DINNER AND DESSSERT.....HOW COULD YOU ALLOW THIS PACKAGE OF HARD AND STALE COOKIES TO BE SOLD. THERE ARE NO EXPIRATION DATES ON PACKAGE, AND I EVEN ASKED IF THEY WERE FRESH.......IF YOU ARE GOING TO SELL THERESA BAKERY COOKIE YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM........ YOUR NUT BREAD AND NUT HORNS WERE DELICIOUS. I WILL RETURN THE COOKIES ON MONDAY,, IF POSSIBLE. R....

I've never heard of "nutbread" but I just moved into the area from out of state, so maybe it's a regional thing. I was interested in stopping in, having seen their little store on previous trips by the place. Their limited hours caused be to miss them on those occasions, but this afternoon they were open!
