KFC — Restaurant in Richland

Used to work here, I already submitted a L&I complaint and here soon will go to the WA food handlers office to submit this.

WARNING WEAK STOMACH Working here was horrible from the way they operate the kitchen and treat staff to their own customers. During my two mo ths working I called it quits and left due to what they did was just wrong.

Improper ways to wash your hands half the time some would not wash their hands, the old dishwasher guy that works there was also found to go Number one and two in a bucket next to the soda boxes. Then would touch food without gloves on or even washing his own hands. Management did not or wouldn't stock paper towels for days to weeks. Some chicken would be saved at the end of the night and re put in the warmers. Upon loads of other issues that is just disgusting, During a RUSH hour the thing that made me quit and called the last straw for me os cause they are "Family" let a little girl in the kitchen to help maybe no older than 13 while rush was going on.. And only gave her a shake. Then one time they let their cousin come work not even 16 yet I think he was 15 he said and he was washing the floor but was confused. So I let him set up the biscuit tray and showed him how to be nice and I was gonna do the floor for him the manager that goes by "Shordy" came out and told him to go back to the floor and for me to mind my own business.

In short I advise all I know never everrr to eat here. You'll probably get sick on top of half the time having to wait for your food and then just for it to get wrong. When working I tried to count things make sure all was good quality etc you know server good food but I was told I need to do my job and just...

Should be a Zero star review. I made an online order last night and never received confirmation that my food was ready so after 10 minutes of placing the order I decided to just head to the restaurant. I arrived at the kfc at 10pm and there was a party going on in the parking lot. I looked inside and saw that the chairs were up inside the restaurant and the door was locked despite the signs (and the KFC website) saying they were open til 11pm. I drove around to the drive through to see if it was open but nope, noone there. I ended up calling the number on the mobile order sign in the parking lot and someone named Aiden picked up the phone and told me he was the only one there and that he was unable to get my order ready. He explained that due to labor laws, the majority of the work force could not work past 10pm because of their age and that I could pick up my food the next day. I took Aiden’s word for it and today I came in during my lunch break to pickup my order. When I came home and opened the bag, we noticed they only gave us literally half of our order. I honestly had faith they were going to make it right as the location is a 20 minute drive from my house. Aiden previously told me I would even get extra items for my inconvenience. Yes, I should have checked my food before I left but I was in a time crunch due to my work and had trusted they would not screw me over again. Well it happened and I’m never going back to this location ever again. This place is poorly managed and customer service is non existent. I love KFC and this location is a stigma to the company name. I just went to pick up some chicken as it sounded like a chicken night. Now as I pulled up to the restaurant which seems like they are lacking and paying the power bill we swing around the drive-thru to find the menu lights off and the screen flashing. The very polite young person on the other end mention to us. They only have tenders and they're out of chicken. I've experienced this once before at the same location and I think they should name themselves instead of Kentucky Fried Chicken Kentucky Fried leftovers. I've never been to a KFC two times in a row that's run out of chicken completely and it seems pointless to have a chicken restaurant that stock chicken. Now that is not the best part about this order I was lucky enough to have an EDC flashlight from Streamlight in my pocket it is the microstream USB you can buy them on Amazon they're pretty awesome. If I did not have this with me we would not have been able to order as there were no lights on the menu. With my trusty Streamlight we were able to eliminate the menu enough to order the same thing because all they had was chicken tenders. We haven't actually looked in the bag yet so I'm not sure what surprises will find. But I wanted to make this review to let people know if you want to buy chicken go to WinCo and get the chicken and then just maybe come here for the sides if you want to drive all the way over here.
