It's a small restaurant in the uptown plaza. We parked almost directly in front of the entrance. This establishment is wheel chair accessible and can accommodate infants and children. Note: Woo's Teriyaki is decorated in Korean American decor however, signage and menus are in English. Our wait staff was quick to usher us to seating. We were offered refreshments (Coke products) and menus.
Note: Having some basic experience with Asian cuisine will help you understand what you are ordering. Don't be afraid to Google what you are not aware of. (Same as anyplace) We placed our order and even asked for a recommendation from our server.
During our visit, the establishment had steady patronage. I noted several pick ups for take out including a local hospital employee.
Our wait was reasonable. Actually, very well timed. Please review our selections. Taken with gs7. The flavours were rich and natural for the cuisine. Prices seemed competitive and didn't break the bank. I did not order any Alcohol and i am not sure they offer. But I'd be interested in a sake just for that fresh authentic taste. (Sake not...
Read moreThis place is an absolute DISASTER! My husband and I walked in right as they opened, hoping for a decent meal. But from the moment we sat down, it was clear we'd made a mistake.
The waitress, who I suspect is the owner, had the audacity to criticize us for ordering just one dish to start. She made snide remarks about it loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear, shaming us like we were some sort of cheapskates.
Despite feeling humiliated, we decided to tough it out and wait for our food. Big mistake. When it finally arrived, it was ice cold and looked suspiciously unappetizing. I mean, who wants to risk FOOD POISONING from lukewarm rice, chilled chicken, and wilted salad?
Fearing for our health, we paid and left without causing a scene, even though we were seething inside. And after reading about previous confrontations with customers, we knew better than to engage with the owner.
Consider this a ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ to anyone thinking about dining here: STEER CLEAR unless you want to be publicly shamed and served subpar, potentially unsafe food. We wouldn't wish this experience on our...
Read moreThe older lady running the register charged us for an extra entree. We noticed this after paying and was very combative when my wife pointed this out. She almost refused to refund us the price of the extra entree. When we got home my yaki soba was bland and greasy and made with stir fry noodles, not even soba noodles. I immediately returned to Woos and when I told her my problems with the soba and told her I lived in Japan for 3 years and this was not soba, she aggressively tells me "american soba is different than japanese soba" and will not refund my money because my wife "ordered and cancelled an extra entree" I tell her that my wife would never order 3 entrees because only 2 people live in our house. Now I am upset and tell her that i want my bleeping money refunded for a substandard product I didnt even eat. After 10 mins of back and forth I get my refund and will never go there again. I realized that they are not Japanese and therefore wouldn't know good Japanese food if it bit them. Her behaviour was intolerable and she wouldnt accept that maybe their...
