I visited today and this was my experience. Upon arrival I was greeted nicely and the lady let us sit down to review the menu, no rush. We ordered, sat down and waited on our food. We sat towards the back of the restaurant because I have two younger kids. We had perfect eyesight to watch the young man cooking.
I have worked in the food industry and I am a food safety proctor. The young man cooking wore one glove the entire time, while his other hand was without a glove. He sneezed into his shirt, holding his shirt above his nose. He did not wash his hands. He picked up the bread with his non gloved hand and placed the chicken, for a Philly, inside of the bread with a spatula. My wife and I watched stunned once we heard the sneeze and he didn’t wash his hands. After watching this he got the fries from the fryer, seasoned them into a bowl and place them into the basket. Any fry that fell he picked up with his bare hand and placed them into the basket. Now, I couldn’t stop watching.
We returned the Chicken Philly as my wife was not going to eat it. She was kind and gave us the refund. The young man still did not wash his hands and began on the next individuals order still with one glove and one bare hand. He was eating while cooking, touching his shirt, pants, etc. I just turned my head and ate, I was starving.
When the chicken Philly was returned to him from the service worker they tossed the bread and kept the chicken in a plate. Not sure if they were going to resurface this.
I had a kids hotdog w/ fries. A half chicken Philly with chips and a regular Philly w/ fries. I spent $50. (Got $10 back for the refund and roughly $7 was for the 20% tip)
Some serious ServSafe education needs to take place before my family and I ever return. We are locals.

From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was something special. The atmosphere was spotless and inviting, and the staff greeted me with genuine kindness and care. Top-tier customer service that felt more like being welcomed into someone’s home than just another restaurant visit.
And the food—oh my goodness—the food was exceptional. Fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and so much love clearly poured into every dish. We had wings, a Shrimp Po’ Boy, and an unforgettable Philly cheese steak. The shrimp? Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection — some of the best tasting shrimp I’ve had in a long time. The wings were equally delicious, and that Philly cheese steak? Hands-down the best I’ve had in years. Everything was made with quality ingredients and tasted like comfort, heart, and skill wrapped into every bite.
The owner was a true standout—humble, attentive, and genuinely caring. You could feel their heart in the way they treated every customer and took pride in the space. Just a beautiful soul running a beautiful place.
If you’re looking for amazing food, a clean and welcoming environment, and a dining experience that leaves your heart just as full as your belly—this is it. I’ll...
Read morePhilly's on the Hill..Wow. Finally! A great tasting cheesesteak spot that's nearby. Bye bye "JM" (Jersey Mike's 🤫). So 1st off, I'm doing this review after my 2nd visit , just to better gauge the establishment ..and I'm greedy 😄. But be warned, it's not just cheese steaks as you can plainly see through the pics. These guys have their hands in a few tasty favorites. I ordered the "Chicken Philly" and my wife went the traditional "Philly Cheesesteak". Both sandwiches great and packed full with soo much flavor, our taste buds were on overload 😳. The chicken in my cheesesteak was super tender. It taste like it had been slow cooked for hours.. it just melted in my mouth. The regular cheese steak with caramelized onions was to die for. We also ordered the wings as our appetizer. Now, when I try wings at a new spot, I order them "naked", simply to taste the wing only. And their wings were super flavorful, and if you don't believe me, then try them with no sauce.. because I sure did, and WOW 😋. You can taste the love, just let me tell you. And to top it off, they have "Fish & Chips." All I'll say is, you gotta try it....
