I would recommend coming to this restaurant when you are craving Korean Fried Chicken and some pastries (they have cronuts AND mochi donuts) š
Iāve tried the restaurant twice now and I am excited to come visit again! The owner of the business is a kind Korean lady who is so sweet! We conversed a little in Korean and she was so nice and reminded me of an Auntie š
English is not her first language but she was very welcoming towards my boyfriend (who isnāt Korean) and tried her best to make sure we both understood what her restaurant had to offer! There may be a language barrier so I hope everyone shows kindness and patience when ordering food here or over the phone. I think the food is worth it!
First thing is first, the restaurant is well kept and very clean. Parking is available on the side streets in front and on the side of the building (be mindful of the signs). The interior has some seating for dine in and cute decorations that display some Korean cultural items. I spoke with the owner and an employee during my two visits and they were both very patient while we figured out what we wanted. I think the prices are fair enough that I can actually be a regular here for high quality food for an affordable price.
These are my recommendations so far: 1.) Soy Garlic Spring Onion Wings MUSTTT 2.) Cheong Yang Wings for something new 3.) Cronut 4.) Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken Nuggets Box (comes with rice, waffle fries, and drink)
*Note: So you can choose certain flavors for the combo boxes (fingers, nuggets, sandwich) and their fried chicken (wings, leg/thighs, chicken). They have different levels of spiciness listed for you on the menu. And no, the spiciness isnāt adjustable for each flavor.
I would recommend getting fried chicken over fingers but the nugget box comes with rice and fries so itās a great meal for one. Cronuts are reaaaallly good. Not too sweet and very flaky!
The food is good, service is friendly, and the whole vibe is just casual/welcoming. It isnāt crowded and there isnāt too much going on so shy people like me would enjoy coming to grab their food and go!
I am excited to try their coffee and drinks next! They have an espresso machine and different smoothie drinks available!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDavid Yi you are absolutely right do not listen to Priyam Das . I have been ordering every Wednesday evenings been ordering wing box combo 10 piece wings and 5 drumsticks the last time they forgot my soda in the combo box and it's a simple mistake . My friend pics it up for me while I am at work and even after I go home by midnight the chicken wings and drumsticks are very juicy and extremely crispy and crunchy and tasty and it's very well seasoned to the bone and I usually order the original fried chicken . Yes of course the first week we ordered the prices for sure was wrong they were selling 20 piece chicken for 25plus dollars and sauce was free then they corrected it instead of making 16 piece whole now they have 14 piece and half as 7 piece chicken for the same amounts and the the wing box is a great deal and pictures don't do justice but the food and flavour is real . And yes now they charge for sauces .99 cents which is really fair . Prices are still affordable and real good. Even the next couple of days you take it and reheat the chicken it's crunchy and juicy and tasty . My only thing is they should change to packaging to boxes used by fried chicken chains like Popeyes and jollibee which will keep it from moisture forming like the buckets . Other than that great place . So many flavour sauces I get them on the side . I ordered last night too for my whole team at work night shift so much so that my 11 pm shift drive all the way before you guys close an hour and plus sway just to get to have the chicken it was for 4 plus people almost 28 wings...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThereās not a lot of Korean fried chicken places in RVA and this spot is the better of the few around. I think their base chicken and texture is solid, they do double fry (maybe not as authentic but the food comes out in 10-15min). My issue is with their sauces and how they donāt toss the sauce with the chicken. Itās a drizzle and most of the sauce ends up at the bottom. You can toss it in the box but since the sauce is a bit congealed itās tough for a good cover. Good places will let the sauce soak into the fresh double fry so itās crunchy and sticky.
Prices are pretty expensive and the $3 rice you can buy is such a small sad portion. Lowkey bring your own rice because you gotta eat it freshly fried. Wish they offered some communal free water jugs and water cups because itās SALTY. The spice is pretty mild tbh
Parking suckssss gotta go around back and park in the...
