SoulFund Sharing with none other thannnn... Nichole! No jk. Just getting to humor myself... Had another house near downtown Richmond today (house cleaning). After leaving my clients (yes, my ego had to add 'MY' clients) house, I Googled my Random °•Laptop•° HopPiN and the first place near me with coffee & another keywords...STUDY...that caught my attention was Lift. The eccentric and how the Pastel pop°•colored my eyes was a good way to pull me in. I saw it had great reviews and parking was not too bad. I was able to Literally park one block over on the back side. However, I honestly wouldn't of cared if I walked 10 block's bc I take pride in sucking in the Eccentric City of RVA! Makes me feel like I'm not alone!! I forgot to take a pic of my Latte that I ordered, but I will tell you this. Who really cares about the pic if it's the taste that matters!! I give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. The environment was cool. I wasn't vibing the two nice ladies working there. They were polite N all, but one I said. Vibe.. Not the best... And being how is peeps throw out energy all thee time,it can make or break a space! Now.. I did love that they had an area out back fenced in with pastel chairs and tables and they had a hole N wall with big square pillow to sit on. Nice touch! I'm sure it will be one if the top places I go through. Great study, enough outlets, and coffee! They close at 7 pm though... Much ❤️, Nichole at SoulFunds

My Sister and her boyfriend told me about this really good breakfast/coffee shop that they have here in Richmond and to my surprise when we got there, they were not opened so we continued walking alongside broad street to look at another place and we happened to find lift coffee shop, I got a hot chocolate(since I cannot drink coffee for religious purposes) and this ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant(I was originally going to go for a bagel but they were sold out, if I had to guess the bagels were popular there), the breakfast sandwich was absolutely delicious and the hot chocolate was super smooth and it was very flavorful, the atmosphere of the shop had a classic nostalgic feel of what a coffee shop should be, the staff were friendly, also followed covid procedures, and were super helpful, seating in the place was limited for reasons with the pandemic but they had a patio(which we did not see because we didn't have too much time as we were heading to the science museum to see a train show), the drinks came out quickly and pretty efficient, the only complaint we had was how long it took for our breakfast sandwiches took for them to be ready, we probably had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes, but they were definitely worth the wait, overall if I am in Richmond again and looking for a breakfast spot, I will absolutely be returning here

I visited here after it being quite a while since the last time. I used to come to this shop like 10 years ago and was happy to know it was still open when I was in the area looking for a smoothie. The place isn't as vibrant and colorful anymore, but still has an overall positive vibe to it. It's a cute little place on Broad St close to the VCU campus and a GRTC bus stop if need be. I ordered a Recovery Smoothie which has always been my fave and the Apple Turkey Cheddar sandwich with a banana. Try their salads too! I recognized one of the people working there and asked if they'd worked there for a long time and it turns out they worked there all through the past 10 years, so great to see a familiar face. I reminisced on my visits before, mentioning that I'd always come in to get my recovery smoothie and a grilled muffin and whatever other food item. When I got to my destination and looked into my box, there was a grilled muffin in addition to my sandwich! Thank you so much!

Love this place for breakfast sandwiches when I forget to pack myself something to eat at work! I absolutely love the feta, spinach, provolone, and egg on a croissant, and the strawberry and brie croissant. I also love the breakfast burrito, and the availability of the vegan sausage substition. I leave 4 stars because I dig the place, the employees are very nice, and although food is good, the coffee needs attention. I've gotten a bunch of iced lattes here usually with added flavor (each flavor is about 75 cents for vanilla or hazelnut.) but I never taste the sweetness. My coworkers and I all have gotten coffee here and everyone agrees they need to taste their own coffee and adjust the recipe. All I taste is coffee and oat milk. Which is fine, I'm not usually one to go for the sweetest drinks in the world. Like Dunkin' is absurdly sweet. I just want to taste the vanilla I paid for though. My coworker got an iced mocha and they could barely taste the mocha. We all had to dump sugar in our cups just to bring the flavor out, and I don't know who loves to readjust their coffee after they've paid $5+ for it. I wish when you online order you could request a level of sweetness or something. Otherwise, great place, they just need to make their flavored drinks actually have the flavor that...
