Have been here several times in the past few months, and have ordered a variety of dishes. Everyone that I've brought here has absolutely loved the food! Service is very warming and welcoming, and no matter how much food I order, we always get it within 20 minutes or less!
My absolute favorite dish that I highly recommend everyone to try is the Chicken Koobidah and Beef Koobidah combo over brown rice only. The meat is so tender and flavorful, it just melts in your mouth. Add the awesome white sauce, and it's just a fantastic experience overall! Chickpeas are quite good; however, the naan could use some improvement, but does not detract from the overall experience.
EDIT: Used to love coming here quite often and the original owners were amazing people. However, I think there was a change of ownership, and when I inquired about it, they claimed that the owners were the same, but I have not seen them in years now. This new management does not offer the same quality level as the original owners. Sometimes, the kabobs are too salty, or just lacking flavor. They also used to have this green chutney sauce which went very well with the food, but they no longer make it. They're also extremely stingy with the white sauce, which bothers me a lot since the original owners were never stingy. On top of all this, the customer service is terrible. On several occasions over the years, I have ordered the Family Platter for 6, but with chicken koobidah and beef koobidah only. This new management refuses to make this order every time, and has even given the lamest excuses like, "we're closing soon" when they were open for another two hours; or, "we don't have enough kabobs" even though I called in the morning. My family and I used to come here often, but we rarely come here now, and each time we've come here in the past couple of years, we've absolutely regretted it. I can no longer highly recommend this place, but if you are in the area, it's still not...
Read moreOMG, you guys HAVE to try Ariana Kabob! Seriously, I'm obsessed. I'm not kidding when I say I eat there twice a week now. It's that good. Like, mind-blowingly, taste-bud-exploding good. It's a great place to relax and enjoy your meal. The service? Exceptional! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They really go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. And they're super understanding, which is always a plus. Plus, they have some amazing deals, so it's not just delicious, it's affordable too! Now, let's talk about the food. Oh. My. Goodness. The meat is top-notch quality, and the portions are incredibly generous. You definitely get your money's worth. I've tried a few different things on the menu, and I'm consistently blown away. The chicken kobideh? Mouthwatering. Seriously, I dream about it. And the lamb tikka? Forget about it! So tender and flavorful. And don't even get me started on the chicken tikka. It's like a party in your mouth! Every single dish is just… chef's kiss. The owner Jamal is best there is , he is really generous with their food portions ! If you're a fan of kabobs and rice, this is THE place to go in Carytown. I've tried other places, but nothing even comes close. Ariana Kabob is the real deal. Honestly, I can't recommend it enough. It's a 10/10 for me, without a doubt. Go check it out – you won't regret it! You might just see me there… twice...
Read moreAvoid this place at all costs. They will overcharge you without telling you and then try to cover it up by claiming there’s some mysterious “second tax.” When I questioned the cashier about the price difference, he admitted he was simply told by the owner to say that to customers. That is blatantly dishonest and deceptive.
I ordered the Family Platter for 6, which is listed as $85.99 on their menu, but I was charged $89.43 before tax. After adding a legitimate tax of $12.07, my total came to $101.50—much higher than it should have been. When I asked for clarification, I was told there are “two types of taxes,” but the cashier couldn’t even explain what those were.
As for the food: extremely disappointing. The so-called “platter for 6” is basically a huge pile of rice with a few small skewers on top—tiny portions for the outrageous price of $103. To make things worse, the meat even had a bad smell.
This restaurant is a complete rip-off—dishonest pricing, poor value, and questionable food quality. I will never return, and I strongly recommend that others choose from the many better kabob restaurants...
