Hobby Lobby — Local services in Richmond

I love the items they sell and shop here frequently. I returned an item and the products are not labeled adequately. All items were labeled either "arts" or "crafts", so the cashier had to call someone else to find out how much the returned item costs in order to process my return, causing a hold up in the line. The cashier was really nice and explained everything, including apologizing for it taking so long to do the return. The manager that he had to call over was very condescending to the cashier, however. It was embarrassing for him, I am sure and a number of customers were in line so they heard it, too. He had to ask her 3 times to come over and assist him before she stopped talking to her coworker that was just standing there doing nothing (and continued to stand there after manager walked over to assist the cashier.) I felt sorry for the cashier who had to be treated like that by the manager. Absolutely unnecessary. If I was an employee there and the management treated me like that, I would quit my job. My ratings, if I were able to separate them would be: Products 5 stars, cashier 5 stars, receipts 2 stars, manager who "helped" the cashier: 1 star. My experience with Hobby Lobby in Richmond Kentucky has been nothing short of frustrating. I likely won't be returning after my wedding. Hobby Lobby was out of stock on an item I needed for my wedding. I was written a rain check for the product at the 50% price since it was on sale when I tried to purchase it. I waited six weeks and went back in to find out my my rain check was lost for items that were out of stock. Janet was extremely rude and suggested we figure out what to do ourselves. She told us to contact corporate ourselves, call other stores ourselves, and to just go talk to the floral department instead of having to deal with us. We have had to return five times before we finally were able to get it sorted out. Started this process in July and it's late September now and we still had to get a different product than the one we originally wanted and we are still waiting on the rest of it to arrive. Cannot believe the terrible customer service we have...

I lived in OK and had a Hobby Lobby 12 years, never heard of the store prior. I started praying knowing I would moving back to KY some day. One year before moving back, someone in this Christian based store up line decided to build a Hobby Lobby inside my home town. I know my prayer was answered. Whoever makes decisions where to build listens to God. It was an answered prayer. This store is awesome and everything about it, Christmas selection, Hobby section cars, trains, paints, sewing, home decor, couldn't ask for better, clothes, doll houses, jewelry, sewing, yarn, upholstery, floral, wedding, furniture, It's just a great store. Give it a try once, seriously, if you don't, you're missing out. My 1st thought for anything, this is my go to place and I sincerely that God for answering my prayer.
