A "2", not for the food which is ok, but for a failed online ordering experience, and lack of care about my experience that left a slight bitter taste not at all like the corn beef spread I wanted.

I specifically ordered corned beef spread at 10am to be picked up at 1:15 today, because I know it's a big seller and I wanted to assure that I had what I wanted before traveling 30 minutes to pick it up.

I arrived at Sally Bells that was vacant, as it was just post lunch period, only to find out they were clueless about my order. An employee then went back and retrieved my order from a print out.

I was then told they'd make it for me right then, which is okay because I like freshness, but then came back and told me they were out of corned beef spread!

I was offered a mild "sorry our online ordering system doesn't work," and "what else would you like?"

I expressed my displeasure, especially after receiving a confirmation email, after easily ordering online with no hiccups.

I declined anything else because I didn't want anything else.

I wasn't offered an extra cracker or even 10% off, although I did still want the 2 boxes for other people who were listed on the order that they didn't print out until I arrived.... And then began my wait of 20 minutes for them to prepare these boxes with no one else waiting for orders!

I might come back, but after being told by the employee that the online system is terribly unreliable and it needs to be "fixed," I won't be ordering online again, if at all.

I didn't get my lunch today and that makes me sad...... And still hungry!

The 21st century is here and although the location has updated apparently their IT people haven't and are doing a disservice to...

I faxed and emailed an order for today and no one bothered to call to ensure the order was received instead I got an excuse. Finally called to ensure they got the order and was told they didn’t accept fax orders to go online - which I tried to do and it would t allow an order. I called and spoke to the manager and she took my order and I was told they would try to have it ready in an hour as they were catering a wedding. I have been sitting in the parking lot for over 30 mins now when the manager said it should be ready in 15 min. Every single person after and before me is gone and I was told by the woman with NO mask on she couldn’t help me right now and someone else would help me. The guy comes out and two other patrons asked if he would help me as I’ve been here for a while and he said they’re working on it. I will never EVER come back to this place. If they couldn’t fulfill my order they should’ve told me from the start. Now the meeting I was to take the food to is happening now and I’m still in their parking lot.

Update: the owner brought me the food saying it took so long because my order was confusing. I asked her how it was confusing when I sent it through fax and email? Then I told her don’t worry about it because I won’t be back and she said good don’t come back.

DONT EVER ORDER HERE BECAUSE IF THE OWNER WILL NOT DISPLAY CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO WILL.

And the order isn’t complete with the emailed order I’m the...

I got the suggestion to try this place out from the "Best thing I ever ate" show on one of those cooking channels. I checked out the reviews and they were either really bad or really good, so I was on the fence about trying it out. The store is on Broad St., so parking is behind the building, and towing is enforced at the other businesses. When I walked into the store around lunchtime, I noticed that it's small with a few tables for dining in, it was cute and clean. I greeted the cashier and she took my order: Boxed lunch with chicken salad sandwich, potato salad, and a chocolate cake cupcake with chocolate frosting. I also got a bottle of water and it was $11.14 total. The boxed lunch comes with a sandwich, side, cupcake of your choice but they also includes a cheese wafer and deviled egg. The sandwich was ok, I like my chicken salad a little creamier, there was a good amount of it on the bun. The potato salad was good, I wouldn't buy a pound of it though, it tasted like a good store brand salad. I didn't really like the wafer or deviled egg, they were just average in my opinion, nothing special. The cupcake was ok, they turn it downside up, and frost the bottom which is different but cool. The cake was a little dry, I recommend a glass of milk, the frosting was the best part of it. I think if I'm in Richmond near by, I would probably just get a side of the potato...

Sally Bells on Broad is a very clean establishment. No doubt. 2 stars for that alone. The food was a disappointment based on a high cost vs low value ratio. The food is of the low quality boxed lunch variety. It's certainly not worth the hype. The deviled eggs were bland, dry, and seemingly not very fresh. Zero imagination, or salt, was put into making the yellow mush. The roast beef sandwich was also just there, no taste...just brown meat on a bun. I'm no culinary expert, but I've tried potato salad in all sorts of places and recipes. Sally Bells' potato salad tastes like nothing that could be identified as potato salad if given a blind fold taste test. I think the deviled egg mush and the potato salad mush come from the same trough. I don't even know what that thing is with the almond on top, so i won't bother to comment on it. The best part of the ordeal was the coconut tart. It wasn't any better than a plastic wrapped gas station sugar pill, but it was a standout. I'm glad I gave Sally Bells a chance, but there won't be a second. I sincerely do not recommend Sally Bells unless you enjoy wasting your time and money.

Two stars just for effort, but definitely a waste of money! Saw this on Guy's show and decided to give it a try. If I could dump this on the streets and keep it pushing, I would. The best thing in the box was the potato salad, and by the liquid substance at the top, I'm sure it was made days ago and not fresh. But let's start at the beginning... From the look of the restaurant, it appears closed for business, but thanks to a sign on the door, you have to drive to the back for curbside orders. Okay, the front window has a lot of empty boxes thrown all over the place, making one think, "How is this place even up to code?" "Is it even clean inside?" Still I ventured on to order. What a mess. The chicken salad has absolutely no taste, the deviled egg tasted like it was boiled yesterday with little seasoning as well and the cupcake, oh my gosh, the moment I put it in my mouth, I barfed. All in all, I decided to go ahead and vomit this out of my system. The prices have gone up since the last menu was posted and taxes are more than 10%. So be prepared to lose more than it's worth.

Super Cute! Love the packaging. Its literally a lunchbox of tasty items. I ordered the tuna sandwich & potatoe salad. The tuna had sweet relish and mayo as my mom would make it. A fresh crunch of iceberg lettuce on wheat bread was the perfect touch. Potato salad had a good flavor. You could taste the strawberries in the icing on my cupcake. Deviled egg was chilled. Cheese wafer was a fun bite. Satisfying lunch for the price. Hardest part is getting there during open hours. A must try if you are a newbie.
