Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in Ridgecrest

Yucky, tasted awful, employees gave wrong descriptions of food choices they recommended. Went there twice in one day when working in the area. Second time the young man sold me ice tea and milk shake that he said had not been broken down for the night. Waited a long time for the food. I asked about my drinks which he told me at the time order was taken that he would get for me, when he gave me the food He forgot to give me cups or drinks. I reminded him that he said that he would make them for me. He said nothing as he gave me the cups and quickly turned his back to me. I walked to the drink area and the tea had been poured out and the fountain shut down. I returned to the counter and asked if he could get drinks for us. He said that he just poured out the tea, ice cream was shut down and so were soft drinks. I asked him for a refund and he said drawer had been dropped into safe and no funds available. He said he could only offer lemonade. Disappointed, I had no choice but to accept or have nothing to drink as the small town had rolled up their sidewalks and I didn't know what, where or if regarding purchasing drinks elsewhere. After tasting the food that he recommended, we threw it out as it was nothing like what I told him we wanted and did not taste good to us. Total waste of time, energy, finances and everything else we lost in that stop. We won't be back. Manager should be more discerning when interviewing and hiring employees, especially if you position them at the front counter where they interact with the public. It would also benefit you to have trained this young man on menu items, how they are prepared, etc instead of turning him loose uninformed where he felt the need to fake it instead of admitting that he did not know he just faked a false story and recommended wrongfully. Without a doubt, the absolute WORST fast-food restaurant I have ever visited... I don't like writing bad reviews. I actually visited here multiple times over a 6 month period, only hoping that maybe each time I visited, it was just a bad day for the employees or something like that. As it turns out, every single day ever must be every employee's worst day. I went out of my way to be extra cheerful and polite, but still was treated like I had insulted everyone's mother. No basic courtesy provided, even after given courtesy. No smile, no thanks even after I say please and thank you. I honestly believe this particular restaurant is a money laundering cover or something of that nature. The employees here seriously act as though you are inconveniencing them as soon as you walk in the restaurant. I have never seen such consistently rude and poor service given at any other fast food restaurant, for an extended period of time, ever. Go to any other fast food place around here... BK, McDs, JackBox, Wiener Schnitzel and you may get someone who is not super polite or friendly once out of 10 visits, but with this particular Carl's Jr, its almost a guarantee you will get someone rude and poor service every single time. I came to the drive thru with my kids using a buy 1 get 1 for 1 dollar coupon. It said for a big Carl or spicy chicken. Veronica the manager was so rude and hostile. Saying I couldn’t order 2 spicy chicken sandwiches. She said that I couldn’t have 2 burgers or a burger and spicy chicken but not 2 spicy chicken sandwiches. And I said to her ma’am listen to how that even sounds. I informed her I was a Carl’s Jr employee at one point and she didn’t have to talk to me in the manner she was and on top of that in front of my kids. I went home… tried to call corporate but couldn’t get through so I called 2 other Carl’s Jr restaurants and asked about the coupon without telling them the the full story. And they both agreed that i could get 2 spicy chickens. So I go back to the store and she’s rolling her eyes and saying how she will just give it to me… and I said you are really doing too much, and completely embarrassed me in front of my hungry kids. When I get home… these sandwiches are cold and hard… obviously the ones I ordered before...
