Update: a few weeks after opening, they're still learning the ropes. Went at 7PM and they were out of steak and Barbacoa and absolutely no black beans. The rewards scanner is now working. They had no lemonades when I went in. The interior I've noticed is pretty echo-y and the music can be loud, though it was off one of the times I went. They've taken down the umbrellas outside because they found out how windy Ridgecrest gets. Even in a light breeze it's hard to eat outside because everything tries to fly away.
Place is great, one of the better Chipotle I've visited. Great portions and taste, service is wonderful even though they're slammed. I do agree the drive up window should really be a drive thru and not just a pickup window. Also, they've been open three days when I went in and the menu is already outdated. The prices for beef protein are listed as $9.95 but they have increased to $10.40. Prices in the app are correct. They also have an unlisted Pollo Asado option, there is no reference to it anywhere in the store. I understand it may be a limited time option but at least have a sign board to notify people it exists. One final note, their scanner for rewards in the app is not working. Just keep your receipt and you can add it into the app later so you get credit...
Read moreI ordered on the app...long story short they were out of steak. App told me I had to change "filling" selection. When I changed from steak to chicken on two burritos, I guess app reverted back to the previous location, 100 miles away. I hadn't noticed until I hit submit. Long story short I show up to Ridgecrest location, of course they couldn't help me and didn't even act like they wanted to. Told me to call corporate for a refund, sorry can't give you any food either bc u have to talk to and/or call Palmdale, and we can't give you food or money back here. So I guess my two burritos and burrito bowl are marinating in Palmdale in a paper bag on Mars somewhere, along with my $50 that apparently I can't get back, nor will they replace food I paid for. Fix the app!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If this was truly my fault ok, but I know I changed the location. I even said out loud to my husband "oops almost sent to palmdale...." then bc of the edit on ingredients, the app automatically changed location on me and I hit submit and...
Read moreChipotle in Ridgecrest offers decent food, but it doesn’t always live up to the hype. The burritos and bowls are filling, and the flavors are solid, but they’ve really priced themselves out for what you get. I’ve found that it’s tough to justify spending that much when you can get similar (and maybe even better) Mexican food for a lower price elsewhere.
A big downside for me was that they were out of guacamole the last time I went, which is kind of a letdown when that’s one of the signature items they’re known for. It’s frustrating to pay extra for something you can’t even get.
Overall, the food is good but not great, and the price point makes it feel like you’re paying more for convenience than for quality. It’s fine if you’re craving Chipotle specifically, but it’s not my go-to spot for...
