I really like coming here to read and get some writing done! I have a beautiful spacious (overpriced) apt w a view of lovely trees and flowers and huge yard but I get lonely! Its nice to have some background noise.
You do have to pay for parking in Ridgewood (3 hours max). The people who work here are really nice. I probably spend between 20-48 every time I am here. The owner joked she "should charge me rent" for being there sm, lol. Considering how much I love to spend, it's like I pay 20/hr + parking đ I think she worries I'm working there but I have AU/ADHD and would never be able to concentrate on any real work.
I just need to change scenery when I'm not working and after my AM meetings. I also have family friends who live in town and come here and we get to say hello!
I did also notice that one of the girls never put coffee art in my cup so I always assumed she didn't know how. Then, this Russian family shows up today and they get flower designs in their coffee. So I order a second cappuccino and I just get a blob so I never could share it on my socials and I have an active poetry page! Oh, well. It's Ridgewood after all and if you're a POC ykwim.
I love supporting local and woman owned but I also cannot wait until Ridgewood has more WOC businesses we can contribute to as well! This cafe seems to be welcoming to a very diverse crowd---local & visiting.
I will add the cinnamon roll they make is great but they always burn when heating it up or it's still cold. Wish there was an in-between!!
Happy coffee break...
Read moreMy daughter came in today to this establishment and the way she was treating was disgusting, unprofessional, and nasty! When she walked in she was not acknowledged and ignored. 4 other people came in after her and was greeted with a hello and smile. My daughter was patience after being disregarded the first time the employee took a lady order behind her. After the employee attempted to help the second person that came in after her she spoke up saying she been ready to order. The employee responded with a dry nasty ok and continued to help 2 more people (4 total)before even coming to her. The only reason why she stay was because she was picking up a $40 order for her office. There was a guy that came in while all of this was taking place and stated he was not spending his money there and left because he whiteness what was going on. The employeeâs of this establishment really needs to do better at treating EVERYONE that comes to spend money with kindness and respect because the customers are the ones that allow them to keep employment and the business to thrive. I hope the owner or manager in this establishment have a conversation with the employees that worked today about how ALL customers should be treated and to keep their...

Location: It is located along Ridgewood Avenue. There is few seatings inside and great display of the pastries. There are street parkings but might be busy on the weekends.
Service: the staff were nice, they wait for you to order and does not rush you.
Food: I bought several pastries here and some are good and some are okay. PEACH TART: this is my favorite cause it is not that sweet and there is cream inside. MANGO TART: i believe this might be limited cause I never saw this before but I love it. The crust is so good and the meringue on top is fluffy. WALNUT BROWNIE DARK CHOCOLATE MOUSE: another favorite, so chocolatey, I finished it in one seating. OPERA: this is my least favorite, I think the one I got was made long time cause the mouse has and different taste and the color is odd.
Price rating: 7/10. To be honest the price is not bad for the desserts.
I will visit it again everytime I go to NJ! Definitely try...
