Amazing service!!! By far this restaurant goes above and beyond expectations for providing quality food at great prices. Its very hard to find authentic Indian food in North NJ, and I was very happy that I came across this restaurant. The owner is by far accommodating to his guests and personally provides great service at this restaurant. He came up to our table several times through our dinner to check on how things were going and if we needed anything.
One impressive point that stood out was his attention to sanitation and hygiene. There were more hand sanitizer stations in this restaurant than I have seen any where recently. With the current times its refreshing to see that small business owners are taking their personal safety and the safety of their employees, and patrons seriously and putting a great effort towards it. There were also bottles left on every table for customers!!
Food was very authentic and the portion sizes were especially nice to see. We ordered a bit too much food, based on our experiences at other establishments and were surprised in a nice way. Not only were we able to enjoy the great food we also had a good portion left over to take home with us!
I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Please make sure you speak to the owner as well, he is a wonderful person and you can see that he has a passion for what he does in the way he treats his customers. He makes you feel at home with a very welcoming atmosphere.
If I can do above 5 stars I would!!!! Thank you for a great evening and wish you tons of success in the future! P.S. if you continue to operate the way you are, luck will not have to play much part in your success!!! Do not deviate on your standards you...

The Buddhist dΓ©cor, the Hindi background music and service made us feel as we had been transported to another place and time. We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of mango lassi (we saved it for dessert) and started our gastronomical journey we had the Eggplant Zucchini Chaat, which consisted of crispy thinly sliced eggplant and zucchini topped with onions, tomatoes, yogurt and an assortment of chutneys and spices. We were told that this was one of the chef's specialty. We received a generous portion. It was so tasty, the spices were so perfectly balanced as was the contrast between the crispy and the smooth textures of the ingredients. For our main course my wife had the Chicken Korma and I had the Lamb Tikka Masala. We asked for "mild" spice. The spices were perfectly flavorful, aromatic, well balanced and very tasty. The contrast between the coconut curry in the chicken korma and the Tikka Masala in my lamb dish was quite delightful. To help us soak up every morsel of our meal we had a generous serving of garlic naan which was crispy and garlicky. We finished off our meal with the mango lassi we had been served at the beginning. Both the quality of the food, the dΓ©cor and friendly service we received were superior. Of course we brought paired our food with a bottle of Spanish Grenache. We highly recommended....

It was too early for us to eat dinner but we decided to sample their papri chat and milk tea. The first thing that impressed us was the beautiful presentation of the complimentary papadams and a small portion of mango lassi on ice. The chat was delicious and plentiful. The presentation was, again, very inviting. It was tasty enough for us to order a couple of dishes for takeout that we enjoyed at home later on. The lamb chops were moist, tender and perfectly spiced. Chicken Tikka Masala & Chicken Biryani tasted good as well. Chicken Tikka Masala was simply the best I ever tasted. The taste quality of the food seems to be consistently good across all the dishes we tried.
Their prices are more than reasonable especially for Ridgewood.
The owner, Mr. Singh gave us a quick tour of the inside of the restaurant. It was tastefully done with authentic ethnic decorations. There was a space for 100 diners with a very nice alcove for a private party of 12.
My one small critique is that servers should be better attired, have more finesse and should make sure that their masks always cover their nose as well as mouth areas.
Turmeric is a welcome new addition to the Ridgewood dining scene. We will...
