Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Ridley Township

I am never one to spend time leaving a bad review but my poor experience needs to be shared in hopes that change will be made. We ordered online and went to the store to pick up. We had 2 large chips/ queso in our order and they only had a few chips in each bag (they said they were running low) no big deal! I accepted that and brought our food home without complaint. When i finally inspected our bowls: no cheese, no xtra chicken, no pinto beans, no fajita veggies. It was so bad that we decided to drive back to the store to have it fixed. After spending $50 on food, you want what you ordered, am I right? We get back to the store and I ask for a manager - they were extremely busy at this point with a line out the door. The manager said he would have it fixed but I would have to wait. 25 mins later I decided to just get in line and have them make it in front of me. The disrespectful child of a human being behind the counter refused to make my order and walked away from me when I attempted to ask what the issue was. I requested several times for my food to be prepared in front of me and I was dismissed. The ladies in the back were slow and made no effort at all to fix their mistakes in a timely manner. After another 15 mins they brought my order out from the back to go line. There was one wonderful employee at the front that apologized profusely for the ignorance of his co-workers. I took my food home. Opened my bowl. No fajita veggies. I was tempted to go back a third time but decided to write this instead. If I could put 0 Stars I would I order from here and got honey chicken and I waited for them to put out the new honey chicken. I was unaware that it was very spicy I even looked on the menu to make sure it didn’t have a flame next to it and it didn’t. I also looked online to make sure that this location had it and there was no indication that the honey chicken was spicy. So I went back and ask the guy how serviced me if he could change it to regular chicken which was a dollar less then honey chicken. He said he had to ask his manger and the girl had a bad attitude from the start and said I could get it replaced so then I ask to speak to her. I told her could I just get a refund cause I can’t eat it. It was way too spicy like abnormal spicy. She said that it wasn’t her problem that I didn’t know it was spicy and said I should have known cause it said honey chipotle chicken. Even tho chipotle doesn’t necessarily mean spicy. I then ask how is it my fault when there was no indication that it was spicy on the menu and online. She then told me she couldn’t give me a refund cause it was my fault. She had a bad attitude and was very rude from the start and I was very nice the whole time. I used to work there back in 2024 October and the boss there sucks and will take ur tips. Wanted to hop on here and give this location a good review. In my experience, this location has always been superior in the area. They have never lacked a meat/veggie and or ingredient. The steak is always fresh, and my bowls have always been hot and delicious. Most of these bad reviews are from pick up/ delivery orders, but I find that any time I do have an issue with my food anywhere-it’s always been from a delivery order. Hence, I always wait in line and watch my food made in front of me. Again, no issues this way. As far as the staff, they have been nothing but friendly to me. I have witnessed what seems to be a struggle behind the counter, but I also have empathy for anyone who works in the food industry, especially at Chipotle. During busier hours it can be stressful because they make the food right in front of you, and trying to balance everyone’s orders at once is hard. I make an effort to smile and ask how they are doing, and have been greeted with kindness in return. Perhaps a small gesture like that goes a long way.
