EL TRIO #2 — Restaurant in Ringgold

As I Walked in I was immediately smitten with the ambiance. The modern Latin music fills you with energy, makes you want to get up and dance. The bar is well stocked and looks so cool in very industrial kind of way. This is my second time here and I cannot understand why this restaurant has only gotten one star. The friendly service, Nehemiah was the best server and his and the attentiveness of the staff alone would give it a four star rating. The food .... One word: "DELICIOSO". The steak loco was amazing. This dish may seem like a simple dish but is the Simplicity that makes it so delicious. The steak was of good quality tender and perfectly chargrilled. the rice was a little over cook but very well seasoned and the cheese was creamy and delicious! The soup was basic but again so delicious. It reminds you of home full of tender shredded chicken and full of well cook veggies (I suspect the veggies were frozen but honestly it didn't matter) and they serve you a very large portion for 6.99 lunch. The only thing I dislike was the beef taco with the hard shell they hard shell of the taco was old. The beef enchilada with red sauce was quite exquisite with hints of cinnamon and cocoa quite interesting. LOVE THIS PLACE! For the area, for the price, for the service, for the ambience I give it a 5 star rating. Soooo if you are in Ringgold GA and you don't know where to eat and you craving Mexican.......

I moved here from florida, the food is just mediocre, but as far as Ringgold standards go, it's good, but I will say I'm in a bartender for 35 years, and I come here just for my skinny margarita that Gustavo makes for me personally ,and takes the time to squeeze the lime juice and make the exact kind of Margarita in want but that i would make for myself, it's phenomenal and he puts the time and the effort in to do that and for that I give it five stars because you will not find another margarita in Ringgold or possibly even anywhere on the outskirts of it that makes a margarita like he does! And this is coming from bartender of 35 years, I come to this little teeny tiny place in Ringgold Georgia just for his Margaritas don't even try the other Mexican places around it because he makes the best,by far. This is not authentic Mexican food. The order was an online order and picked up fairly quickly. The food was cold, the guacamole was blended (this is not authentic and makes the texture to be akin to baby food), salsa did not taste fresh or look it, the Chalupa was not made of masa dough it was more like a tostada shell, it came drowning in sour cream, and I guess what was supposed to be queso, as well as guacamole. It was very soggy and cold. The traditional "street tacos" had good flavor but nothing to be able to say I would order that again. They did come with the traditional cilantro and onion, as well as being on traditional corn tortillas. So had high hopes with this being local, but definitely will...
