Waffle House — Restaurant in Ringgold

WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME HERE TODAY! Believe it or not, but this was all while the HEALTH INSPECTOR OFFICIALS were present and grading them. I could go on and on but the highlights were watching the employees getting grilled about out of date products, temps not being right. The cooks were constantly being taken from the line to talk to officials, others taking products from the fridge and throwing them away. The food was terrible and cold after waiting over 30 mins for it. We both had to send our food back to be re made, our waitress constantly apologizing for this or that. Our orders were made wrong both times, the 1 little thing was grilled onions were left off and so she told the cook and he scraped some off the side of the grill that all I can assume was gonna be scraped into the trash and instead scraped into a dish and sent them to us. We had milk as drink and just so happen that was one of out of date products we watched them toss after being being questioned by health dept. It was a total and complete disaster of a breakfast. I normally love waffle house but this one we stopped at while working out of town was a mistake. They even had the nerve to over charge our bill and offered nothing to discount our bill after such bad food. This cook was awful, he just whistled to himself the whole time as if nothing was wrong and he could do no wrong. You might wanna check this restuarant report card before you sit down and order your meal. Next time we work in ringgold you better believe we will be elsewhere or just...

My mother and I decided this morning around 2:15 am to go to our local Waffle House and have breakfast. Well I have to say that Susan Watts & Roger Dockery were AWESOME!!! Our food was cooked exactly like we ordered if not better. Susan and Roger were very interactive with us and other customers. Roger is an AWESOME cook and Susan is an absolutely very friendly lady and polite. My mother and I were saying our food blessing and Susan very patiently waited till we were done before she served us the rest of our food. Roger was very polite and a very AWESOME cook I just cant express enough how very satisfied my mother and I are with the food the service and the friendly atmosphere we experienced while we were there. I have to say that I have been to many Waffle House restaurants but store #554 with Susan & Roger tops them all. When I eat at Waffle House, I trust that my food will look good and taste good, but here lately, I don't know why there has been a decline in the quality of food. Tonight I ordered grits with a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. The bacon was so burnt and so were the grits. I assume they burned the grits at the bottom and tried to save what was on top because it didn't look burnt, but it tasted burnt and after one bite, I had to throw them in the garbage with the bacon. So, I basically had an egg and cheese sandwich. Which I could have made at home! I'm not able to cook until my health is better, but my 10 year old granddaughter could have done a better job at cooking what I ordered! Just be sure to ask about the grits before you order them. Ask when they were made and if they were burned at any time during the cooking process....
