I pulled into Super 8 om August 7th 2024 around 10:00pm after driving 700 miles from a visit in Midwest, heading for Florida. I was worn out after the drive and the mountains. I went into the office to check into a Room. Desk clerk ( a young woman) registered me and gave me a Key. The key would not open my door. I had to leave my bags( 3-4) at my door unattended. Upon entering the office The Clerk Did NOT even attempt to make another key. She stated that she would let me into my room. She left the office wide open and un attended. She tried my key NOT WORKING. She opened my door and when I commented that I intended to drive to get some food, gas etc. What am I supposed to do? I'll be in the office all night just come and I'll let you In. Not acceptable I stated as she walked away. She asks What do you want me to do Move you upstairs?? WTH I said that is total BULL. She walked away. I went into my room Pretty unsatisfied and amazed. I couldn't leave the property without her Having to let me In . Not happening I showered sat for a while to quit shaking from the whole encounter. I left a few hours later.. I called the Motel upon arrival in Florida. I explained what My Unsatisfactory Experience was Like. After multiple conversations over 3 plus weeks I was assured that there would be a refund and consequences for this experience. I stated that I would wait for refund, not write a bad review for a period of time. Time ran out way before I contacted Credit Card company, waited to write this review. A response after waiting would have prevented this Truthful, precise , and Blunt Review.
I am know Only for Glowing reviews 99.9% of the time
Now ,it is weeks after I added this Honest , informative, painful story. I still have not received my refund that the Manager told the Desk to tell me She Had Authorized. I waited and contacted the "Hotel " Again still giving them a chance to make good on Assurances that a Refund would be showing up. No Communication from Manager or supervisor. I did finally dispute the change with my credit card company.
I decided to go with another Attempt then contacted Wyndham Customer Care Corp. Within an hour or two Magically I found Someone at Super 8 Wyndham Ringgold/ Chattanooga put through the Room Charge Again . Like adding Insult to Injury. Absolutely Retaliation. 💯 % Absolutely an Unpleasant experience, Unprofessional and possibly an illegal Punishable Action. I immediately updated Wyndham...
Read moreThe first room I stayed in the satellite didn’t work and the phone in the room didn’t work. The man on night shift swapped my rooms. The first room I was in was extremely nice. The second room the tv was extremely glitchy couldn’t really watch anything but I was tired and stressed from losing my home and then getting into a wreck the other day and totaling our 2022 charger my husband had only had for 1 and half months. I haven’t been able to see our kids either. So I didn’t want to bother the guy yet again bc my tv sucked. I rarely complain unless it’s outrageous but I’ve been going through HELL lately and I figured if I’m paying to stay I should have a tv I can watch. I slept it off and waited till the morning after I came back from my dr which i had to walk for an hour there and back. Hot! So I was praying I wouldn’t be treated like I was just complaining to complain. I’m also a diamond member for Wyndham too so I get a different kind of customer service when I call the actual Wyndham line. But there’s no reason. The woman who checked me in yesterday was at the office when I finally got up the nerve to call and ask to be switched. I told her I didn’t care if it was king or queen or double just non smoking. Thankfully she was extremely sweet and polite like she was the day I checked in. I felt terrible that I had to ask her but she helped and she put me in a room with a bigger tv too and on the end !! I am so grateful. It’s a the little things during these really hard times that keep you going and not wanting to give up. Thank you again to the lady who is currently at the front desk Tuesday...
Read moreNope, never again. The room is clean and the staff is friendly, but that's where the positives end. We wanted a place with a pool. Upon checking in we were told the pool hasn't been open for over 2 years. The room is tiny. The metal fixtures are all corroded. The fire alarm is dangling by the wires. No luggage rack to set the suitcase on. No stand on one side of the bed. There were vehicles blocking the parking area at the end of the building, so I had to back around the building to find a parking spot. At 12:30 in the morning, we heard someone jiggling the door handle. This was followed by someone opening the door! Thankfully the security latch held. I picked up the phone to report it to the front desk, the phone didn't work. I called them from my cell and was told they didn't realize anyone was in our room and had double booked it. When the customer's key didn't open it, the person on staff used a master to try to open it. Closed curtains are usually a sure sign to the staff that a room is occupied, especially in the middle of the night. It's sad because we have started coming to the area frequently, and the location is very convenient. We will go back to the place we have been staying...
