This place is a total rip off!! I was told they don't serve lunch size portions on a Saturday, that I had to order the entree. The hostess acted haughty and condesending. I ordered a red curry with chicken and a Thai Iced tea. I was asked if I wanted rice. I asked if it came with the curry, she said "no". What!!? What kind of an Asian restaurant doesn't serve rice with a curry? Modesto, California is not Beverly Hills. (Ripon is basically a suburb of Modesto) What I received was 16oz of a very red runny liquid with some vegetables and a little bit of chicken. A 10oz plastic to go cup of Thai tea. The cup was half full of ice.. Their tea tasted watered down and they put in too much sweet cream. WaBa has way better Thai tea! The curry tastes mediocre. The vegetables were crunchy. It's like they just tossed raw vegetables into the runny sauce and served it that way. I've had better service and food elswhere. Wal-Mart's/Ralph's/Vons deli soups are the same size, taste better and less expensive. Don't waste your hard earned money coming here. I was charged $20 for this? Never again!! This place is not worth the money they charge.

I have been here once before and liked it. So thought I'd give it another go. I had pot stickers and Tom Yum Gai soup. The pot stickers were good, but not very hot when they came out. Almost cold. The flavor was good and the chili lime soy sauce was great for dipping. The soup wasn't that great. The veggies seemed uncooked completely. Like they were just thrown in and served. Some I could not even chew, making them inedible. The chicken was very chewy. Overcooked. The broth didn't have much flavor. So I added the rest of my soy sauce from the pot stickers and that made it better. Service was very good and friendly. I was greeted right away, drinks right away. Price was a little high. $28 for a small soup, small appetizer, and drink. $34 with tip. The best part was the Thai Iced Tea. Awesome!

My Thai Cuisine in Ripon is very good. Been here a couple of times now and the food is delicious and presented nicely. I wish the curry was actually a little thicker but it has plenty of flavor. The other dish we had was Pad See Ew with Tofu which like all the other dishes that I have tried are very fresh. The gentleman that waited on us (I think possibly the owner) was friendly and very attentive even with a pretty full restaurant. Definitely worth a trip is you are craving Thai food. I will be back.

I guess I'll be the odd man out here and leave a less than stellar, but honest and fair review. If grading on a curve for my beloved Ripon where we have few choices food wise other than Mexican, fast, diner, or chinese I would have to give a 4 star rating, but this review is for foodies and people who gave had good Thai out of town. We ordered grilled short ribs which looked and tasted flavorless, for $15 a plate, including a very odd tasting papaya salad, I was underwhelmed to say the least. We also ordered crab fried rice which was decent flavor wise, but at $14 a plate, the quality of crab and portion size left a lot to be desired. We also ordered rice noodles which were perfectly cooked, but again, bland and the beef was nowhere near tender . At least the pricing and portions of this dish were reasonable, but the flavor, not so much. Again, if going out of town is not an option and it's this or chinese, I would have to choose this, but it would never fly in a bigger city where we hold our ethnic food to a higher standard. I'm definitely not a food snob, I didn't get this body being super picky, but I don't think you get what you pay for here unless you are grading on a huge curve . $53 for lunch for 3 that none of us finished would have been better spent at canal Street...

I had a bad feeling already when we were waiting for 15 minutes to order our food. We had 4 people in our group (2 adults, 2 toddlers). Our food was brought to us before our table was set up so i ended up grabbing 2 plates from an empty table. The crab ragoon was still cold on the inside. The angel wings wasn't like the typical angel wings with the stuffed vermicelli noodles, it was just regular chicken wings. Our sticky rice never came so we asked for it to be "to-go". We asked the server to put the strawberry smoothie in a to go cup cause it was for my toddler (glasses and kids don't go well together) instead it came out with a glass cup instead. Im used to Tom Yum soup being in a hot pot and this soup was served in a bowl so in the middle of our meal, the soup was already cold. The beef pho is probably one of the worst pho that i've ever tasted although the best plate of food that we got was the basil fried rice. If there was a thumbs down, thats what i would rate this restaurant. Never going there again or would i refer this place to...
