Critical customer service fail.
We tried to visit in Dec 2021 and it's not even that they were rude, they failed to engage with us at all. We walked in and waited. Several employees saw us and looked away in the universal sign for "helping you is not my job". The store was the opposite of busy. There was one customer at the register. There were two more seated at tables already. None in the drive thru. The employee at the register walked away...somewhere? The THREE employees directly in front of us within ten feet all watched her walk away, flicked their eyes to us in silent panic, and then dove into shuffling papers or staring at inert equipment. It's not like clearing my throat and saying "excuse me" would have caused them to notice our group. Our group finished discussing among ourselves what we intended to order. Then I counted the employees I could see from where I was standing, out loud, pointing at each of them. (Rude or reciprocal? I accept your judgement. I was hoping the three employees directly in front of us would be moved to say, "Hi, let me get someone.") I counted SEVEN employees in plain sight. Since at that point no one had even said, "Hey if you come through the drive through, I can take your order", our group decided that we could get much better food at New China anyway. We went to New China and got love-bombed by the one visible staff person (who found time to help cook, take all the orders, and still make customers feel like their presence was not an unexpected catastrophe) and had a delicious meal. Read moreThis place is the worst. I can’t eat their food, but have taken my kids to get food there multiple times. The first time, the drive thru was blocked off with cones and the door was locked. It was during business hours and people were eating inside. I saw an employee and what looked to be a manager and asked what was going on. I was told they were closed for maybe 10 more minutes while they worked on a large catering order. Absolutely ridiculous. You have business hours for a reason. If you can’t operate your business at lunch time and fulfill a catering order at the same time, then you shouldn’t take on the catering order. People count on businesses to honor their business hours. I wouldn’t have driven over there had I known they’d be closed. I didn’t want to wait 10 min and have them possibly be out of food, so I went somewhere else. That same situation where the doors are locked during business hours has happened 3 times now. One time we waited the 3 minutes until they opened the doors and got food and the food was not good. Dry and old looking. Read moreWent to drive thru and waited 5 minutes to place an order which never happened. There weren't any cars ahead so, I pull up to the window. Still nobody comes. Go inside, see 4 employees, two of which have headsets on,. My daughter still waited another 10 minutes before placing an order. All of the main dishes had been sitting so long they were dried out & took on the look of their next life form. One of the 4 employees was cooking but, in the middle of doing so, decides to pull his phone out, start texting with his gloves on, and returns to cooking with the same gloves on. Oh, and there were two tables of people inside, it was 6:30, and there was no attempt to greet, say thanks for coming in, sorry your order wasn't taken in the drive thru.
