I arrived here at 8:45pm tonight and they close at 9pm so I figured I had time. The lady who was at the front intitually seemed unhappy we were coming in and walked away from the front as we were walking up and told the gentleman to take our order. My friend ordered before me which was a small jerk chicken dinner plate, they happily took his order and proceeded to make his food. I ordered next, I ordered a chicken Roti first which they told me they didn't WANT to make due to time...fine so just keeping it simple I went with a curry chicken plate. After taking my order I was informed they did not have any more curry chicken so I proceeded to ask what they still had available. The gentlemen stepped into the kitchen and returned speaking with another gentleman, while talking I noticed he nodded his head my way. He then proceeded to return telling me they had nothing available but oxtails. Which had to be a lie because they made my friends plate not more than one minute ago with no issues. I am a homosexual man and I have dealt with attitudes before visiting Caribbean restaurants but never to the point they refuse to serve me. The attitude towards me was ugly and unnecessary especially due to the fact I had come to spend money so I simple walked out the restaurant (that they had locked right after entering so I had to unlock it myself). Not to mention my friend had to leave out the restaurant to retrieve the correct card during ordering and the gentlemen working there came from AROUND the counter to let him out. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, THE SERVICE HERE SUCKS AND I CAN DO WITHOUT THE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time eating here. And I think that this will be my last time actually eating here. I ordered a jerk chicken plate that comes with the peas and rice with cabbage and plantains. I also ordered a side of Coco bread. The best thing of the whole meal was the Coco bread plantains and the Jerk Sauce. I strongly dislike the jerk chicken only because it taste as if it was reheated all week until it was sold , the chicken taste to chewy and not falling off the bone the skin on the chicken I had to chew it a hundred times before swallowing the chicken SMH literally the chicken tastes old and I always eat West Indian food so I'm not understanding how they are selling old jerk chicken the chicken was not fresh the only reason why I ate and chose this place was because it was on the way home normally I go to Jamaican taste on Tara Boulevard which their food is always fresh and they have the grill and a smoker on the side of the building where they cook the chicken fresh Daily. The Cabbage was hard. With no seasoning this was the worst Jamaican restaurant I have ever ate. This was so not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk so Iāve been craving some good oxtails since I moved here to Georgia from Texas! Iāve been to a few spots and they have all let me down. Someone recommended this spot and brought me 30 minutes just to get them. I caught them right when they were about to close, but they still welcome to me in. I was not able to see the rest of the food, but I trusted, the smell when I walked in so I still decided to order. I have the oxtails with cabbage , rice and plantain. The cabbbage was amazing as well! I definitely donāt like everyoneās cabbage butā¦ā¦ they show love the oxtails were amazing all the way around I love Yal gave me the meaty ones. I donāt like spicy and I like the fact that they werenāt. I asked for extra gravy for my rice and of course they showed love with that as well. This was a great experience, even though I didnāt get to sit down, but Iām definitely glad I caught them before they closed. All I can say is if they have a line they are definitely worth the wait and I will be returning customer.
