FIRST TIME/LAST TIME: It took 2 hours to get our food. My fried broccoli was really SALTY and salmon DRY. On BlackOut Tuesday, my boyfriend and I wanted to support our community and were excited to experience this restaurant for the 1st time. At 5:31pm, I called in my order and was told that it would take 1 hour to prepare our food. While that seemed like a long time, I was willing to wait based on the Google reviews here. We arrived in an hour (6:25pm), but waited another hour and it was ready at 7:30pm. When I asked the question of what took so long, she seemed surprised and unaware that I placed my order 2 hours ago. Then, I was told that my order was complicated. How so? Shrimp and Fish, Salmon and Rice, what's complicated about that for a Seafood restaurant? While we waited that last hour, we saw two workers in the front taking calls, moving things around, adding menus to the table outside. I'm curious if at least one could have helped the cook. We saw at least 15 different people get their food and I'm hard pressed to believe they all waited 2 hours like us. Makes me think they don't have a good system in...

I ordered the shrimp pasta, whiting fish, fried broccoli, red velvet cake and peach tea. I guess I was expecting the pasta to be creamy and it wasn’t. It was oily and the shrimp were over cooked. It also looks like they split the shrimp in half to make it appear that there are more. They also gave me the wrong tea. I paid for peach and was given a regular tea. The fries were not that fresh. Everything else was good. I wish I was able to take it back but I was not able to go back up to the location.

I’d also like to add that I did inspect the food before I left the location and everything LOOKED fine. It wasn’t until I got home that I noticed the errors with my order. I would like to clarify that I only had issue with SOME of the food I ordered, which I stated above. In no way am I “badgering” the business. This is my honest review. Usually great service but last night I went at 10:20pm bc they close at 11pm and saw a sign written on the door that said last order taken at 30mins before closing. As soon as I walk in there were two ladies at the front that looked at me like “dang here comes another one” then the younger woman proceeds to hurry and turn off the open sign in the window. The older woman finally gives a half smile and ask what I would like to order. Before I could even get out of my mouth what I wanted the younger woman tells the person in the kitchen that he has one more customer to cook for, he then tells her that they are sold out of everything. Then she turns to me looking relieved and repeats what he said. I try to support black businesses but this entire experience was very rude and unprofessional. First time here because the reviews were so great! :-) But with the poor attitude the lady just gave me, she WILL be the reason I may not return. I was the only one in the restaurant at the time besides the guy there enjoying his meal so I don’t really understand why she was so rushed. I just felt like I got in trouble for making sure my condiments were in the bag. :-/ Her response was, yes, everything is right in front of me (sarcastically) Geesh! Not to mention I felt rushed when picking up my order. I would have ordered a drink but her attitude just made me not want to spend more money in this place. Maybe she had a bad day but please don’t take your frustration out on your guest. To conclude, my first impression of this establishment wasn’t that great. Poor attitude will make costumers not want to return. No matter how good the food may be.

I chose beef sausage instead of pork just to try something and I was not disappointed!! I got the half portion of each which came out to a lil over $10. The food was cooked to order but I didn't want any longer than 10 mins. The sausage comes with a garlic butter seafood boil sauce but I asked for that on the side. They also gave me ranch and sweet chili dipping sauces. The food was sooooo good. The broccoli was seasoned and fried perfectly. I have to try more of their menu soon. The cashier was so nice and polite and answered all questions I had and even gave more options. I'll be a frequent customer of their business.

I've worked less than 2 mins from this place for years and have never tried it until I got a recommendation from a coworker. She insisted that I go and try the fried broccoli and fried sausage. I chose beef sausage instead of pork just to try something and I was not disappointed!! I got the half portion of each which came out to a lil over $10. The food was cooked to order but I didn't want any longer than 10 mins. The sausage comes with a garlic butter seafood boil sauce but I asked for that on the side.
