Status lounge restaurant and bar — Restaurant in Riverdale

I went last week for my little sisters birthday. I dm’d the owner and let him know that I was gonna have her with me and that she was only 20. He said that’s fine she and her 2 friends would just have to sign something to say she couldn’t drink. My sister isn’t a drinker anyway so that wasn’t a problem for us. He said to ask for him when we got there. When we got there & asked for him he came out and said that she was fine but she could only drink water, soda, or Red Bull. When it came to her friends he tried to charge them $50 a head. That was strange especially when he never discussed that in the beginning. They didn’t mind paying the $50. After they agreed to paying he then “changed his mind” and tried to charge them $75 a head so they left because that is ridiculous to pay. When we first come in they asked if we wanted to purchase a bottle but I said no due to my sister being underage. So they sat us in a small table in the corner. He said she couldn’t drink anything (which we already knew). Then as soon as we sat down he asked my sister did she what anything but didn’t ask the rest of us who were well over the age of 21. After she said no he then proceeded to say “if yall don’t buy anything yall have to leave” then quickly walks off. So I definitely called him back & asked him did he tell all the other tables that. He then repeated hisself and walked off. Status won’t be getting anymore of my business and I will let everyone know not to go there!!! The food was over priced. We were charged $20 for egg rolls and we only got 2 tiny egg rolls. Our wasitress brought out the wrong salad & we had to hunt her down everytime we needed something. Then in the end we tried to ask if they would come with banner and lights for her birthday (which they promised us) and they said no because she wasn’t 21 which they didn’t disclose before we got there. Then I seen an old friend of mine there and she was complaining Amos due to her renting a section and them trying to put her in a small table in the corner even though she had over 10 people with her. Very money hungry people super unprofessional and overpriced ! I don’t recommend! I’ve had better...

I will NEVER go there again. I advise everyone else to do the same!!

The plates were all dirty because they didn't wash them. They were only rinsing them off. I know because I could see into the kitchen from the bar. The food was all cold They never had a full option of food. Something was always OUT. They were bringing small treats of food to serve a huge crowd I asked the waitress the cost of soda or juice and one waitress said m $4, another said m $5, and the other one said $6. I guess none knew the price of a drink They ran out of come and lemonade They ran out of almost everything halfway thru except the lambchops, poor management They didn't have napkins to give 9 The bacon was hard like it had been refried The charged for the grenadine in Shirley Temple drinks The atmosphere was dark and Drury with no decor They flyer showed pancakes... nope zero pancakes The menu was: fish nuggets, lambchops, bacon, eggs, Mac n cheese, fruit tray, sausage bites, and grits.. that's it.

Later they brought out chicken fingers, toast and hush puppies at the end. They ran out of fish, grits, Mac n cheese, fruit, sausage, eggs and bacon They advertised that you can order food of the menu but when I got there they force you to buy the brunch for $30 then have NO food to serve

They stopped washing the dishes probably because they had run out of plates and was rushing to get plates to the ppl standing in line waiting for food with NO plates to put food on.

No plates speaks to the service of ppl busting the table and removing the dirty dishes.

This place was a rip off, a dump, and a joke!!!!!!

I told the owner I will never go back and instead inquiring my reasons so they can do better... he simply gave a flip reply then kept it...

I went there on a Wednesday for the 50 cent wings and $5 margaritas. The wings I got had so many feathers on them I was plucking feathers at the bar. Then when the owner (tall bald light skin guy) was notified he was so nonchalant about the matter he yelled from the other end of the bar my bad we’ll do better next time. Then he was also rude to his staff the bartender had explained to me the rules for ordering the wings which was the wings comes in a count of 4 and your only allowed 2 orders and you have to eat them there but if you wanted them to go you had to purchase something else. The owner was not there when the bartender explained that to me and another guy at the bar. I proceeded to order 2 order of wings and fries 10 mins later I get my wings with the feathers and the lady that was serving handed me my food at the bar and tried to give me some fries that’s been sitting in the window for another order for more then 10 mins I politely asked for some fresh fries that took a extra 15 mins then when I get my fries they taste like old grease in the process of me waiting the owner comes back to the bar and starts to yell at the bartender for me having a to go box as if she did something wrong I tried to hop in on the conversation to tell him he was wrong but he told me I’m good I can handle this so I would not recommend it...
