NOTE: Don't stop here, if you don't like eating in a very COLD environment! A standard Waffle House, which for those whom are familiar: small place, dirty floors, loud and busy staff. The truth to having a good visit over a bad visit isn't in the customer's control. Everyone stands a 50/50 chance of having a bad visit depending on factors out of your control. But for THIS visit, judge for yourself:
Pros: The staff half greeted my party of two when we entered. Their were seats available and we didn't have to wait. We sat at the low tri-seat counter area. The counter top was clean, which means no old syrup was on it. Our waitress was prompt, happy and pleasant to work with. All our food was prepared correctly and hot.
Cons: Their were several empty booth seats available, but still had dirty dishes and trash on them when we walked in. Although it was somewhat hot outside, it was very cold inside. When I asked our waitress to turn down the A/C, she replied by telling me to watch as she asked the manager. She yelled out to him and told him her customers were too COLD. He looked at her like he didn't understand English and then ignored her and continued to cook. She then told us that he doesn't turn the A/C for customer's complaints. I looked around and found other customers shaking, rubbing their arms or tapping their feet as they ate or waited to eat.
Suggestions: Get your food to go, but If you must, bring a jacket to eat here and smile at the wait staff - they are really trying to have a great day. TO management: ever heard of the customer is always right? Disrespecting your staff brings on distrust and disrespecting your customers brings on the lost of your position or job. Grow up! You may manage the staff, but you don't force your customers to come there. CLICK the HELPFUL BUTTON if my review is on point...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt approximately 7:18 AM, 12/10/2022, my wife and I noticed an employee behind the counter cooking food without a hair net and gloves. We noticed that he was noticeably laughing and cursing over the meals being prepared. This young man was making weird noises and playing, laughing, and playing with the other co-worker beside him as he worked. My wife finally decided to ask the young man if he could please put on some gloves. The young man replied yes, and turned around and started cooking again without the gloves/hairnet. He started to get angry and thatās when the manager stepped up and told himā no no no!ā The young man was stating that itās two against one, when the only person in front of him was his manager. This young man should not be any representation of the Waffle House establishment, as he is rude, and doesnāt honor the cross contamination rules. Not only was this young man verbally nasty, scratching his hands and dreaded hair without any hairnet, he was also sagging. One customer at the counter joked that no one wants to see his āassā ā while having his food prepared. There was a uniformed Clayton county police present and he also commented that my wife was right by asking him to please put on gloves. This by far was my worst experience dining at the Waffle House. The young gentleman is the one with the reddish dredded hair...

I believe) looked over me at least 3-4x as I waited to be given a menu, 2 of the other employees acknowledged me multiple times and told her I was waiting on her MULTIPLE TIMES and she just kept glancing over me. After about 20 minutes of waiting she finally comes up and says āOh I didnāt see you over here, what you ordering?ā (She definitely saw meā multiple times, we locked eyes at least twice) Maāam I donāt even have a menu, took her about 5 minutes to give me one.
After placing my order, I received HALF of my meal. I ordered the porkchop breakfast w/ a waffle (if Iām not mistaken the breakfast comes w/ 2 chops, 2 sides, and toastā I received 2 chops, 1 side) I didnāt make a fuss about it though, just ate my food, left, and noted that if I ever returned to this specific location I donāt want her as my waitress ever again. My food overall was good, waffle was a bit āundercookedā still had a lot of uncooked mix around the edges, no...
