The Crab Hut Riverdale — Restaurant in Riverdale

Well y'all know I hate it when I go out to eat and, I'm let down SOooo much. and have to leave with a less than happy, pleasant, satisfied, FULL BELLY. (I CAN'T EAT ANOTHER BITE) ( take home containers please) I'm more than ready to go HOME, AND GO TO SLEEP) REVIEW. HOWEVER....THIS AIN'T THAT TIME... I'm SO SORRY, PERHAPS, TODAY WITH THE RAINSTORM ( FRED) was a bad day. WHY?? OVER FRIED FOOD. HARD AS A ROCK FOOD. IF NOT FOR OUR WAITRESS JESSICA, THERE WOULD BE NO.REASON TO.RETURN. SHE IS A GODSEND, to this restaurant. She's SO PLEASANT, HELPFUL, UNDERSTANDING, FUNNY, CARING, AND, knowledgeable about both the history of the chain, and Seafood. She kept us laughing put up with A LOT OF QUESTIONS, ABOUT FOOD AND DRINKS, WEATHER, ETC. SHE MADE US COMFORTABLE, AND READY TO ENJOY OUR MEAL, BUT... BUT ONCE THE FOOD ARRIVED? I'm sorry but NO NOTICABLE TASTE, AND FRIED WAY TOO LONG. MY GUESTS COMPLAINED ABOUT THE LACK OF TASTE, AND OVER FRYING ALSO. I'M SOOO SORRY, BUT.... THERE ARE OTHER "CRAB" RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA TO VISIT. I'D LIKE TO BE ABLE TO SAY THIS WAS 'GREAT' BUT NOT TODAY ,NOT FOR ME. I GAVE 2 STARS, FOR THE PROMPT ATTENTION FROM THE HOSTESS, AND WAIT STAFF. MAYBE IT'S JUST THE FRIED FOODS? BUT THE CRAB LEGS WEREN'T AS SEASONED, OR AS TASTY AS THEY COULD...

I figured the cost being as high as it was the food would be great. The food if you can call it that was nearly cold as a dollar taco that was 2 days old. The Cajun season would be great if it wasn't over welled with cheap starchy flavored butter. Most people don't know that if you deep freeze seafood then flash boil it its get soggy like the bread you find in parks for ducks. The wet napkins were a good touch who wants the nastiness of half rotten muscles on there hands. And maybe they may have been good but the muscles were 2/3 closed. The corn was great if you mess up corn you should be jailed . And the potatoes were marked up like they found them on the side of the road and gave them a fresh wash. And the crayfish were clearly riding the short bus when they found them. Over all I give the meal a 1/10 and the saddest thing I seen was those wings they were the size of a quarter it was cute like a scene from tiny bites i know who ever lost there pet bird were...

I placed an online order this evening and 1st problem which is bad business, you can’t pay on the app. I ordered 2 fried combos with whiting, oysters and onion rings and a 4 piece whiting basket with a 5 piece shrimp appetizer. I give them an hour to be ready and it still wasn’t. My condiments consisted of 4 tarter sauces, ONE cocktail sauce, 5 packets of hot sauce and 5 ketchup. Mind you I clicked the sauces on each order. Food comes all on top of each other in the box and there is literally a tablespoon of coleslaw each and one was missing and I paid $52 for this mess. I called to express my displeasure at the condiments and they want to argue with me like I can’t count or trying to scam some darn cocktail sauce!! This won’t ever happen again. Don’t...
