Capriotti's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Riverside

I do not usually leave bad reviews however in this instance I unfortunately felt it necessary.

We went for our kids' school fundraiser and got 2 Large subs and 2 small subs, we originally wanted to get 2 minis but our host Cory told us "I cannot give you the minis because you reached your inch limit" when I asked for clarification he told us that if we were to have got anymore sandwiches it would have turned into a catering order and that I would have to give them 12-24 hour notice to get the sandwiches made?

I asked him, what if I were to leave and come back to place another order and he told me he could not serve me anymore that day, he would "literally" get in trouble if he served me anymore food. All in a very condescending tone.

We were the only customers there at the time and it took them no more than 10 minutes to make our 4 sandwiches.

I was very disappointed as the food was very good but I do not think we will go back based on their staff's demeanor.

We also caller another location and when we told them what happened he let me know that this was not any rule they had ever heard of so I am not sure why the host Cory yesterday would not sell us...

I hate to leave bad reviews. But I have to say our visit today was very underwhelming. We walk in & there’s 2 guys working. (This review is only reflecting the guy working the register). We had never been here before and we’re excited to try something new. I ask the guy ,”Can you tell me if they use white meat for the Chicken cheese steak?” He said, “Who knows? It’s frozen in a box. Could be anything”. I look at my husband in disbelief by his comment. So I then decide to go with a turkey sandwich. I ask him if he can do no onions on 1 side of the sandwich? His reply: “If I remember”. Like whaaaaat?! Why would you say that?! This guy is not the person to work the front counter. His attitude alone would make me not want to go back. Went for the first time as a recommendation by a friend. It's not exactly a bad place, but at the same time I won't be returning. The prices are a little high, but the portion sizes here make up for it. The restaurant is usually relatively clean and the people at the register are friendly. The problem comes from the actual food itself. The taste isn't particularly appetizing. In fact you mostly you just taste grease from their "waygu beef," and a total lack of seasoning in their fries.
