Gave this place a chance multiple times but the quality and service is never up to par. Seems like since the original owner changed, service is super slow and the quality has gone down. Tried to order my usual order Togo one time and the girl on the phone didn't know what I was talking about and I was getting confused because she was trying to explain a similar order that thought was mine and so I ordered it. When I came to pick up in store, i checked my order and it wasn't what I wanted and I told the cashier in the front and he mentioned that they had the order I originally wanted but couldn't change my order even though the girl was confusing my order. So I paid for it and left thinking the girl was new or something so I can understand if there's some confusion but I don't understand why she couldn't have asked another server if she was confused. Went back again several times since my husband likes this place but service is always slow and the girl servers that are working there always seem so confused and never come to check up on you. Food is just so so and prices are okay for what you get which is why we kept going but portion sizes seem to be getting smaller and the overall experience just doesn't seem...

I know this spot is known for its Fried Chicken but I was craving some Korean street food and they all HIT. THE. SPOT.
My friends and I got the spicy rice cake dish (its pretty spicy), spicy pork dish (my favorite!), and beef bulgogi (a little bland in my opinion but my friend enjoyed it). I tried the apple mango soju for the first time and it was really good! It was sweet but could def feel the effects after.
The interior has a cool bar like atmosphere. It feels like youre at a small bar in Seoul. They played Kpop on two different screens so the music complemented the food. The waitresses were all really nice too. There was a little bit of a wait even though it didnt seem like there was a lot of people, so expect a wait.
Ill have to come back next time to try their fried chicken too. Will post a updated review then!
fyi- the restaurant can be a little hard to find since its in the back corner of a plaza and theres no sign on the plaza. Once you drive in the plaza youll can find their yellow banner next to the...
Read moreNow this place is arguably the best Korean fried chicken and beer spot in Riverside today. Welcome to Chimak House. The name itself is loosely translated as chicken and beer, so they gotta know what they're doing, right?
We'll start the meal off with a do it yourself soju cocktail kit. You can also show off a little bit of your cooking skills by putting these kimchi rice balls all together for you. Super delicious, super delectable, loved it. The rice cake and dog skewer is definitely a must try. Spam fries are super crispy and light, not salty like other places.
Now the bulgogi plate has gotta be top tier. After a quick palette cleansing with some peach soju, time to get to the good stuff, the wings. Their double fried method definitely keeps the crunch going. The garlic soy flavor was nice and savory. All the while the sweet and mild was nice and tangy. After some slaw and pickled radish, you know, we had to finish off with that great lemon pepper that everyone loves. Gotta check them out....
