Worst experience ever. My wife and I ordered first round of all you can eat and had spicy scallop hand rolls. The scallop hand rolls were not very good and to make them spicy they just squirted a bunch of rooster sauce on them. The rice soaked up most of the sauce so we picked around and ate the scallops in an attempt to not waste food. There was 2-3 bites of rice left and the waitress explain they would have to charge us extra for wasting food. I explained to her what had happened and her reply was "Its their policy". Mind you we had many other dishes with rice which were completely consumed. I asked to talk to their so called manager and she was just as dimwitted in her response. So then the chef yelled over to me while I was waiting for 2nd round that he would go easy on the rice. I said "excuse me are you talking to me?" He said yes. So I then explained to him the problem was not the rice but the amount of sauce he put on. And my thought was why is a chef yelling over to my table. At that point I was done eating there and the manager wanted to charge full price for the food we ate even though we only got one round and less than hospitable service. To sum it up they lost a semi regular customer over 2-3 bites of rice. That's incredibly stupid. The manager was completely inept and had no clue how to deal with the situation and should be properly trained or I'm quite sure they will experience many more...
Read moreWorst sushi spot we've been to and we're very frequent sushi restaurant goers. Don't waste your time coming here. We waited for 15 min to even get our drink order taken. We waited an hour and 15 min and our sushi never came out. So we cancelled our order and ended up walking out. We should of known it was going to be an issue because when we first got there we over heard the people behind us asking why their order was taking so long as well. I must add that the place wasn't even busy for them to use that as an excuse. There were maybe 4 tables taken up in the whole place and they were all small parties, with 1-4 people. And two of those tables were already eating so technically there was only our table and one other that they had to make their food for still. We have never been to a sushi place that has taken more than 20 min to get our food out even during busy hours. There were 2 guys making the sushi so there really shouldn't be an excuse to why it would take more than 30 min let alone more than an hour and 15 min considering how empty it was. It was completely unacceptable. We just wasted our time sitting around. And on top of that the beer glass that was brought out to my husband was dirty and their soda was flat. Don't come here. There are plenty other sushi places around here that will be a TON better. Disappointed to...
Read moreSo.. the fish on and in the rolls seemed fine as far as fresh flavor. But the rice used in the rolls was extremely mushy which is concerning because a sushi restaurant should know how to make sushi rice and personally I do not know how to make sushi rice but neither does this place. We were seated on vinyl booth seats but for some reason they were covered with floor mats. We thought maybe they were trying to cover some tears in the vinyl but possibly those floor mats were dirty and thrown up to get them out of the way.
Service was lacking but she was new so it's understandable. My sprite tasted like the soda dispenser has not been cleaned in many years. And that shouldn't be.
So.. owners... get the Rice consistency correct. Have servers be polite and overly helpful when possible. And most importantly and this goes to ANY restaurant! First and most importantly above all else CLEAN! If you want to run a successful restaurant you can be busy you can fail at mushy rice once but never ever EVER allow yourself to be in a position where someone can say your restaurant was unclean. Ever! And your restaurant was Fillthy. Close your restaurant for just a few days and thoroughly clean it. Then try again. You and your customers will be so...
