Dear el polo loco mgmt , Went here for lunch as our original place was extremely packed because of pizza promotion $3.00 pizza . We are valued customers of el polo loco so on our way home was a no brain we and healthy choice to stop at el polo loco unfortunately not sure if because of where it’s located which shouldn’t be an excuse and should be used as an example to make somebodys day a little bit better by treating them like an old fried or family???
it’s just a little rude and really send a negative images when employees ignore you when your standing right in front of the counter and it more important to continue a conversation that they are having rather than acknowledge a paying customer who needs something to continue the dinning experience? The person who I was with I noticed she was ingnored by three people the cashier , possibly the lead mgr , and by person serving drinks why? People choose their actions a lot of time in my experience if the working environment is bad it trickles down to the team and it starts all starts from the managers because they are the example and they set the tone for teams customers service attitude . No one greeted us no one said thank you for visiting el polo loco enjoy your meal ? What t kind of service is that ?? And then ignore when you go back to the counter and need something or have a question?? Why should I revisit this location and spend my money here again ?? they obviously don’t care about customer service or don’t know how to give it by acknowledging your guest ??

Read moreIf you go to this location, DO NOT USE THE DRIVE-THRU. We all know the drive-thru line at lunch can be a little long. But that's not a big deal, the food at EPL is worth it and better than the other fast food places.
On 7/2/2021 at 12:25pm, I drive up and gave my order, $5 chicken nachos meal with an "unsweetened iced tea", a double protein avocado fit bowl and a diet Coke, plus chips and guac. get up to the window to pay, no issues. Get one drink, which looked like a Diet Coke, then our food and I asked for some sugar for my iced tea and the girl asking if I wanted my receipt. I said no thanks but I remind her about my other drink, that it should be an iced tea. She rings it up and tells me the total, but I tell her that it was part of my order. She closes the window for about 30 seconds then opens it and hands me my drink and asks if I wanted my receipt. I again say no thank you and drive off.
Get back to my office and see no chips and guac in the bag and no dressing for the protein bowl. But the iced tea and Diet Coke was instead a root beer and a Dr. Pepper. I already know that when I order an iced tea at EPL, I need to say "unsweetened iced tea" otherwise they mistake it for "Hi-C", but root beer and Dr. Pepper?
Normally I go to the EPL by the Plaza, but I think I'm going to be sure to avoid this one in the future.
Edit: I'm reading the other reviews from the last few months and it sounds like the owner needs to give their lunch time drive-thru people some serious remedial training. One comment, meh, no biggie. Two comments, that should raise an eyebrow. But dude, I see a lot of comments about bad service in the drive-thru.

My boyfriend and i decided to have dinner there because he loves their food but the minute we got there we were informed that there was no mash potatoes and no macaroni and cheese. We didn't mind so while we were placing our order another guest came to the front and asked for napkins and the cashier told him that they had run out?! She had a big roll of paper towels so she handed him a piece, then i went to grab my drink and there was no ICE 🤨 i asked the cashier for ice and she just apologized and said she was going to check the ice machine but she never did. Then, the dining room was a complete mess, and the cashier was running the drive thru, and serving food and taking orders. I really felt bad for her but i was really upset when we got our order wrong, we also ordered chips and Guacamole (which they are advertising it as fresh and made daily) well, our Guacamole looked old and dark. I also asked the cashier for flour tortillas and she just said "oh I'm sorry, we ran out". Why do they keep their doors open if they don't have what they need? Also, their restroom was a mess with no toilet paper 😧😡. Overall this place was just horrible. We love El Pollo Loco but this location is not organized. How can they ran out of so many things?
