Our third visit today 08/06/2024. Cafeteria-style Filipino restaurant for quick meal choices.
Step 1: walk to the left-side of the hot table, tell server what you want - 1-item or 2-item combo meal or order ala carte in small, medium, or large container. Step 2: point your choices on the hot table. You can also add to your orders like halo-halo for dessert. Step 3: proceed to cash register - tell them either to-go, dine-in, or ask for to-go bag for leftover dine-in food.
I was told, this is now under new owner, management. Personnel are more assimilated and are friendlier compared to the bashful staff years back.
Hats off on the pancit. It doesn't need any lemon. It is bursting with flavors.
The Kare² is also delicious - today's kare-kare is made from pork hocks (pata). Flavor blooms after adding a tiny drop of shrimp paste to the chunk you are about to bite into.
Grilled Pork Liempo: best consumed with rice and meat is dipped in spiced vinegar. Spiced vinegar is coconut vinegar with raw diced garlic, diced onion, sliced pepper, fish sauce.

Read moreI'm glad to see that I wasn't the only one to receive weird service and a high price. I usually enjoy Pinoy food and I prefer supporting local businesses, so I'm bummed to say that I don't really want to experience the same racist questions from the server and cashier again. The food is mediocre and over priced. While I was reading the menu, the cashier asked me if I was Chinese, I said no. Then she asked me where I work, and I said I work from home and she got quiet. She said she couldn't do half rice half pansit, i think because she wanted to charge me for two whole orders instead of just serving half and half like a normal cafeteria style server can. I shouldn't have bought and paid for the super greasy mostly fat logged unseasoned sinigang and lechon. I took two bites when I got home and threw...
Read moreI’m new in the area because I took someone to a clinic in riverside. I searched for a Filipino resto and it’s close by so I went there to get some breakfast. Went inside and looked at the food but I already know what I’m getting. I see a lady not even smiling out there sitting and didn’t even say a word like “good morning”, hi, hello. She only said after a while, “are you ready” so I ordered my food which cost me $17 something(for 2 items with rice🤔?). Paid it and there was not even a single word like “salamat” or “thank you”. Just went ahead and ate my food and left without hearing any single word. Very bad customer service! I’ve been to a lot of restos, etc and they’re all friendly and greet you with a...
