his was my first time and definitely not coming back again. My boyfriend insisted in coming to this place; so we walked in. It was so quiet. Not even a good morning a good afternoon; in other words, we were not acknowledged, when we walked in, the place felt very tense. I suggested it to share a Poké bowl with my bf but we noticed they were quite small. anyhow, so we started ordering our Poké bowls and everything was fine until we got to the register. I believe the cashier was the owner appears to be skinny, old, and Asian guy!! So, when we got to pay, I asked the cashier nicely to have my bfs crab meat on the side cause he forgot to ask for it .. the asian man face just twitched when I ask for it… then I asked him for a side of spicy sauce; it seem like I was twisting his arm.. I been to poke bowl spots whoever is preparing my bowl asks me specifically what I want.. with this cashier every time I asked for something, I could see his face upset; that just put us on the wrong foot.. well, I don’t think they know what the definition of customer services is.. i didn’t see the dried onions for my toppings which the cashier didn’t asked me if I wanted any… That was like strike 3 😂… So I asked for a side, it felt like I was asking for his car keys lol.. he just threw it in my bag … I told him straight out. we are not coming back cause he was so rude.. despite of I was nice about it cause I would have just thrown it back at him … the experience was...
Read moreOk, so I’ve had poke in Hawaii and it was ok. Today I happened to be same in same shopping center as Poke Bistro, decided to give it a try, had the salmon and ahi tuna as well as the Hawaiian moiety, eel on top of salad bits. I’m very impressed with the overall efforts as it was a work of art and (shoot I forgot to take a photo) the presentation was parallel to the taste. The spring mix could not be any fresher as the texture was crisp and temp was cool and very fresh. I added jalapeños and had the server “surprise me” with no less than 18 sauces then fresh ginger and topped with dry onion. The spices were drizzled artistically (like those heart shapes in the coffee foam)….. I should have taken that photo but honestly once I got started photo was not on my mind, but the flavors, texture, the synergy of all of it together was way better than what I had in Hawaii, imho I hadn’t given poke a second thought until today. The fish was fresh and well prepared, I’m told the owner comes in every morning to cut the fresh fish into square tasty morsels. It’s Wow, kapuyaa, hijole good. Congratulations to the palate of the chef who clearly knows what she/he is doing. Highly recommended!! And I’ve just become a fan 😃. Ps, no affiliation,...
Read moreWould give 0 stars if i could based on the terrible customer service. My coworker tried placing a lunch order for our office over the phone for pick up. (Not even a huge office, it was only an order for 6 people). After spending the time to take our entire order, my coworker was told they were too busy to complete our order because they had other customers in the store. She was also told she'd have to wait over an hour and that the food would not even be prepared until she came and paid for it and waited. But apparently "if she went into the store and placed the order in person, she'd only have to wait 20 mins like everyone else." What?? The guy on the phone was extremely rude about it and hung up on her when she was trying to understand the issue and why we weren't being treated like paying customers as well. She tried calling back and was hung up on again. Oh well, guess he didn't want our business. Won't be going back to this place again.
(*also, prices were almost double what their listed menu prices...
