Even though I am a regular Starbucks customer, and I usually am a happy customer... I received bad customer service this morning at the Starbucks on Market St. and 3rd, at 8:18 AM. I was waiting around for my drink, it took a few minutes so I decided to check the counter in case I didn't hear my name, it wasn't there yet. So I decided to use the restroom since I was waiting, and I asked the barista that was closest to the restroom. The barista was tall thin and had curly hair, I gave him the benifit of a doubt that he couldn't hear me the first time I asked for the code... I asked him again and his response was "I heard you the first time" mind you I waited a good 15-20 seconds before I asked the second time. He then asked me if I had already made a purchase, I was shocked and totally embarrassed, I answered with a "yes"... He then picked up a paper that was sitting in plain sight of him and almost gave me the code... I opted not to use the restroom after-all as I was completely red-faced with humiliation. Everyone looked at me while he and another female barista nonshalantly gave their reasoning for asking about my purchase. I patiently waited for my drink to be ready so that I could leave this location... I do understand that because of the high volume of homeless and crime, a business such as Starbucks would ask about my purchase. But this barista first ignored me, then was even more rude when he replied that he had heard me the first time... and then unapologetically told me why he asked me such a question... That was poor customer service, from both of the employees I mentioned, I will not set foot in that location ever again. I will absolutely tell my friends and family about my experience and I will absolutely advise them not to spend their money at Market and 3rd st. Starbucks...
Read moreThe first visit my milk was curdled on top and at zhe bottom of my drink. I spoke to the manager and I was told that they leave the milk on the counter to serve each customer more quickly. I didn't agree with that but I was told that it is how they operate. Second visit was today and curdled milk again with a spoiled taste. Ugh!!!!!! Dissappinted, I had to return the drink again...I asked for a refund on a gift card so that I can go to another Starbucks near my job that uses fresh and cold milk. The manager offered a free drink with the card but of course i declined and ask for water to get rid of the apoiled taste in my mouth. I noticed again that this location had milk sitting on the counter instead of being constantly refrigerated..again! I left, and I visited another Starbucks, and they advised me that my refund was .75cents less. Lol. I was so upset that they wanted to know what was wrong. We compared receipts to understand the confusion. They comp me for the inconvenience and advised that Starbucks baristas should never leave milk out sitting on the counter. It should be constantly refrigerated to avoid health problems to customers. I decided to inform starbucks corporate since this was the 2nd incident, and because my stomach was severely upset later on that afternoon. They stated that they will reach out to the store within 24-48 hours from today. I felt it should have been handled better so this is why im posting this...Please be careful of their unsafe practices in the meantime. Sorry, there are no photos, but if I witness it again, I will definitely post pictures of all of the milk sitting out...
