Today, July 10th at around 3:30 PM, I went through the drive-thru at the Raising Caneâs in Herriman, UT. From the moment I started ordering, the staff member taking my order seemed distracted and didnât appear to be listening carefully.
I ordered one Caniac Combo with a sweet tea, but when I got to the window, I was charged for and handed two teas. I calmly asked, âWhat does the combo include?ââjust to clarify why I was receiving two drinks. Instead of answering, the young woman became visibly upset and responded in a rude and aggressive manner, saying something like, âYou canât return it now, you already touched it.â
I was not trying to return anythingâI simply wanted to understand what was included in my order. When I asked how much I had been charged (since I hadnât received a receipt), she again became agitated, raised her voice, and started arguing with me. I asked, âWhy are you being so rude?â and she continued yelling, pointing at me, and saying, âIâm not! Iâm not!â in a very agitated tone.
Then, without another word, she closed the window on me abruptly.
Thankfully, another employee came to the window and politely processed a refund for the extra tea. However, I do not feel that a simple refund addresses the unprofessional behavior, disrespect, and uncomfortable situation I was put through.
Itâs also worth mentioning that there were no cars behind us at that moment, so it wasnât during a busy rush. The employeeâs behavior seemed completely unprovoked and disproportionate to the situation. Frankly, I was left feeling like she could have thrown the food at me out of stress or frustration, which is unacceptable in a customer service setting.
I hope this issue is taken seriously. No customer should be treated this way for calmly asking a simple question. Iâm not looking for compensationâI just believe this kind of behavior needs to be addressed...
Read moreFood was delicious as always, but service wasnât super great today. I usually donât like to give lower than 5 stars but I hope this will be helpful to you. Went through the drive though and was treated with annoyance when I asked if I could use a kids meal coupon my son got from his school. I asked if I could use it and instead of saying yes or anything at all, she just called over management and then closed the window while I was holding it out, so I felt dumb using it. She didnât really speak to me at all actually, just handed me things and didnât say goodbye or have a nice day. Both the drinks I was handed were so overflowing that there was a puddle of liquid on the top of them that spilled all over my car, and there were droplets down the side so my hands were all wet. I was grateful for the napkins to get everything cleaned up. Overall I just felt like she was annoyed with me for existing lol. We enjoyed the food and our order...
Read moreMy first time having Canes was in LA, so when I saw that there were some in utah I was ecstatic! Ive only ever had good memories associated with canes, so i had high expectations on the quality and whether it was in par with the CA locations. This location did not disappoint! The food was handed to me almost immediately. Maybe bc it wasnt too busy, but Iâm assuming when the staff was taking my order, the kitchen had already prepared it, so I received my food almost immediately after sitting down! I wish I got the name of the staff member that was working the register, he was a young guy, super friendly and super polite. Thereâs so many seating and thereâs also outdoor seating! Thereâs a drive thru, but also a parking lot. I also love that itâs right next to a Freddyâs so you can get a sweet...
