The food quality was a 1 star and the computer system wad a mess, it overcharged us on food. It was a disaster. I should be giving it a straight up 1 star but the manager made any attempt at customer service.
When we walked up and told her we needed to talk to a manager, her first response was, "I'm short Staffed right now." I am quite sure she would have not talked to us if we didn't press the issue. We proceeded to explain the over charge and she told us that she could not do much because it is how the system calculates things. ( I will explain that at the end.) She couldn't explain how or why the charges were the way they are. In the end she did refund us some money and gave us a few free meals but because of the poor quality of food, we probably will not use them. It felt like she gave this to us just to get us to stop trying to explain to her the inconsistencies and get us to leave. It was not because she really wanted to provide good customer service.
The system did an $3 upcharge to substitute mozzarella sticks on my son's meal when that item is only $2 more. My other son was charged the same $3 for his kids meal but only got 2 sucks instead of the 6 like my older son. There were a few more similar issues and this is just one example.
When we ordered or meals, the girl taking our orders asked us what side we would want with our meal, she pointed out the sides menu but didn't mention that they would charge extra for any items other that the fries or tots. They also had no mention on the menu that this would occur. We offered her a simple solution to train her employees to mention that fries or tots are included at the menu price and substituting items would be an additional cost. She just blew it off.

My fiancé and I have come here a few times in the past, and we usually sit in the parking spots and order. Tonight I wasn’t feeling well so we decided to go through the drive through because it would be quicker. The kid who initially took our order must have been new, so he handed us off to the girl working. She took our order with a tone in her voice that seemed to be annoyed. Like doing her job was annoying. Then we got to the window, we payed, and we were waiting for our shakes we ordered. They hand us our first one and say they’ll be right back with the second. We can see them making it through the window, and they ARE NOT USING GLOVES. They are grabbing all of the shake toppings without any kind of glove, just using their hands. That is absolutely disgusting. Then, the kid comes to hand it to us and I say you did not wear gloves making that. All he has to say back to me is “true”. I hand him my shake back and tell him he needs to remake both of them. The girl comes around the corner and we can clearly hear her swearing and talking bad about us because she has to remake them, which could have been prevented bad she done her job correctly the first time. The inside of the kitchen was disgusting. We could see it through the window. I had ordered a water, and she scooped the ice from the ice machine with the cup itself. I went into the sonic in Herriman tonight my first complaint is that the stalls where you park your car to order or not big enough for ram 2500 truck to fit in not to mention not being able to go to the drive-through as the turn is too sharp and I really like the wheels that are on my truck. So I decided I would go in to order a number seven with a milkshake. this took probably close to 20 minutes. I was blown away that the manager her assistant manager and three other young ladies were standing in the back area giggling and laughing not really doing much. The young man that came out to help me have either not been working there for very long or had never used the computer system to order food. When he went in the back that his manager for help she came out gave him some rapid instruction and then walked away. He was still completely lost and my food was not ordered. The girl who I think is the assistant manager came to help she was able to get the order placed within the card machine wouldn't work. When they told me we would have to order all of it again I just couldn't sit there any longer. So I excuse myself drove across the street ordered the same amount of food from Taco Bell and had my food in less than five minutes. Hopefully a manager of sonic is reading this if not the owner and decides that maybe he should go over to Taco Bell to hire a new manager and staff. Sonic food is not good enough to wait 20...
