We went there for the first time tonight because I was given a gift card for mother's day. I asked the cashier about the menu and said I wanted a rice, vegi- " which is just cold cabbage", chicken bowl, 2 on spice in a regular and childs size no noodles after asking about the menu. Their system crashed and the order came out without veggies and a lot of sauce on top. I worked in the service industry so I get that things happen. We paid for another side of rice to offset the sauce overload. We are lighter sauce people. These bowls have very small amounts of meat in my opinion. Rice isn't expensive. There should be a few more pices of chicken. I wish I had taken a picture. The flavor of everything was great though once we solved the high amount of sauce. I then went back to order a side of meat. I was told that it couldn't be done and that I would have to order an additional bowl entre when we already had to buy more rice to offset the heavy sauce. At this point I was frustrated after the order came out wrong and I let that slide to be told nothing could be done other than buying another full meal. When we had already purchased 3. I am not sure what bowl my husband ordered. I then said so you can't accommodate us at all one and done. I sat down and began writing a review. He offered something else for writing a review but it wasn't what was needed or the chicken we asked to buy. He then made it right and changed the situation for the better. Jackson brought out chicken and cabbage free of charge even though we were happy to pay for the meat. I genuinely was never going to come back. We were happy the experience was turned around. I would suggest ensuring your sauce is on the side because you can always get more sauce at no charge. The restaurant was clean and all of the employees were nice happy teenagers doing their best. After working in the service industry I definitely do not believe the customer is always right but I do think anywhere in the service industry should do their best to come up with a resonable resolution before a customer ever has to become frustrated or be left with no solution to the problem. We were happy Jackson came through. Now that we know more about the menu and options we know how to order to best suit our needs now. I would also suggest looking over the menu before going in case you have any questions ahead of time. I would give a 5 star on service if we were accommodated before I got upset. Food would be 5 star if the sauce wasn't so heavy and if there was a few more pieces of chicken with how small they were. If you want actual veggies I would suggest purchasing the veggie bowl and an additional bowl with extra meat then combine and split the two. The uncooked cabbage isn't what I pictured as being the veggie in the bowl. The veggie bowls cime with broccoli and cauliflower just a more substantial vegetable. The level 2 on spice still had a decent amount of heat so if you are concerned about that at all I would maybe try 2 different sauces on the side to get the right fit. Jackson shared the full history of Cupbop with my husband and it was interesting hearing about it as well. I think tonight was a learning experience for all of us. Happy we...
Read moreAllow me to edit this… when I pulled up to pick up my order, there is a big sign in front saying “Leave us a review and get 5 Free Mando!”… So seeing this, I go to get my order and am greeted right away, asking if I’m here to pick up a DoorDash order. (Mind you, there is NOT another customer in the store!) I said “Yes, I am, but I want to leave a review for you all, because I saw your sign outside”. So I sit down to write a review. About a minute later (literally) the same guy comes up and says “what’s your name, I’ll get your order.” I say, “it’s ok I’m just filling out this review so I can order some Mando.” He looked over at an older Asian lady working there and then back at me and says “Ok.”…
Literally 20 seconds later, said older Asian lady comes to me and says “What yo name on order”… I look at her and say, “Ma’am, I told the other guy it’s ok, I’ll get my order, I’m just finishing up this review.” At that point I had just finished it, and had it ready to show her to order the 5 Free Mandoo as shown on the sign by the front door.
She grabs my order and brings it to me, and says” here’s your order have a nice day”… I look at her and say, I just finished your review, I was going to order Mandoo.
She looked at me and said “It not work like that, you have to do it with meal you order”. I looked at her and said, “the sign said nothing about making a purchase, just leave a review like I just did (showing her my phone with the review).”
She refused me again and said “have nice day”.
For some reason that lady wanted me out of the store, and I felt rushed out for literally NO REASON. She seemed like she didn’t want me there for whatever reason, I wasn’t rude, I was leaving a 5 star review, but after how that lady treated me, I wasn’t having it. So I in good faith could not leave the review I had previously left and had to update this.
Sad really, I really like CupBop, but will not return to that store as long as that lady is...
Read moreI have been so excited to get a Cupbop in Riverton because I love the food. I chose to try it out today by placing an order through Door Dash for pick up. I placed the order well in advance of arriving at the location but when I got there to pick up my food they said someone had already come and picked it up. That was impossible since I hadn’t come to pick it up yet and I hadn’t sent anyone to pick it up for me. I told them this was the case and they just stared at me for a minute. Finally, they told me they would go ahead and re-ticket the order and have it made as soon as they could. When I arrived, the place was absolutely packed and several groups were waiting to get their orders. I asked if I could cancel and be reimbursed at that point but it was not possible without going through Door Dash. (I had somewhere to be and had purposely ordered ahead to be on time). The only employees I saw working there were four teenagers and quite frankly they need some serious job training. None of them displayed the slightest bit of quality customer service skills. One of them seemed to be getting on the job training by a very slow working, grumpy teenager who didn’t really know how to assemble the bowls. In the end I had to wait about 20 minutes for three bowls to be prepared (after already waiting 30 minutes after ordering on Door Dash) and because of the lack of training, the bowls were not filled properly, lacking some ingredients and were DROWNING in sauce. I have had the same experience happen to me twice at the Cupbop in Daybreak as well. One time they got the entire order wrong. This place has gone completely downhill in my opinion. The best location I’ve ever been to is in American Fork where the employees are efficient, friendly, helpful and get it right every time. I give up on this...
