Waffle House — Restaurant in Roanoke

Our waitress was Nakitia. My husband, son & I came to eat today at noon. We will not be returning and I'll tell you why. When asked what we wanted to drink, she asked us right away if we were ready to order as if we were being rushed. I told her we needed time and when we were ready, we sat there for 12mins waiting on her to finish her conversation w another co worker. When she finally came to get our order, I asked a question about the Texas toast, if the BLT comes automatically w it (being I saw it said in the menu generally .50 extra for it) and she answered it word for word "uhh yea Texas toast, it's called Texas BLT" ok. So, I had coffee and was trying to get sugar in my coffee but it was hard as a rock stuck to the inside of the container, as if they might have filled it w sugar while still wet. So I got up to exchange it out for a different one, bc she was not near. When I did, that sugar was sticking to the glass also so I turned the lid to unscrew it off so I could get sugar out. Well it was so tight my hubby got the lid off and some of sugar fell on the table so instead of asking her to clean it off, since we did it, I just swiped it off putting it in the floor (very small amount of sugar). Not trying to be rude at all by doing that but literally right when I did that I had heard behind me someone smacking their lips. It was our server Nakitia..this definitly did it for me. She grabbed a broom and dust pan right away not knowing I heard her attitude, and don't even say a thing to us, and just sweeps at our table. She even swept under our table WITH US SITTING THERE! Knowing it's pretty rude for any server to sweep next to a table w out being considerate, but she actually hit my feet not only once but twice!AND I HAVE SANDLES ON! Didn't say excuse me, or I'm sorry I hit your foot with this dirty broom, or hey do u mind if I sweep this up near/under your table...NOTHING. WOW! Also, while she was giving us our food, she was carrying on a conversation with a co worker about how tired she is from working! I'm all about working for what you have and need to do for your family. But guests don't need to hear about it out in the open while giving them their order. So, she rushed us, very rude, not considerate of guests at all, and likes to complain ABOUT WORK, AT WORK, & TO GUESTS that pay you tips! This lady does NOT need to be working w the public! And my husband still gave her $7 on $29 bill..the worst experience EVER!! WON'T be returning to that...

I had orientation at the Williamson rd Waffle House for a week had to miss one day cause my son was sick at school with a fever and I had flat tire same day. I had Dr notes and sent a picture of my flat tire. That was a Thursday. Well on Fri. Instructor of orientation said come on in if your not sick so I did go in at 9am. Orientation lasted from 8 am until 2 we where dismissed everyday except Fri. at 1 We had to stay on Friday til 2.They gave me a 5 min break they take 3 dollars out your check for food weather you eat or not, I ate one day while I was there. They said they don't hire family but that false and instructor is married to cook but said she doesn't make it known.So Friday the manager told my instructor to let me go at end of day. I was treated unfair I feel like they let me go because of my age they also let a 60 some year old women we where both let go! They certified a server in orientation and let her go out on floor and take orders with her mom.Thiswas not fair to me or the other lady we where discriminated againstbecause of our age. One server has dreads don't have to put them up they also have fake nails that are to long. I had to put my hair up in a bun but I guessed she excused from that cause her mom works there. My instructor kept making jokes toward me like she said I take car of my mom she lives with me not because she old but because she is also a addict. I will never eat there again I went in girl had cut her finger blood was everywhere all over floor sink ect.They also don't wear hair nets or gloves don't give lunch breaks either but takes 3 out your check anywa for food each day weather you eat there or not! I was told we get paid weekly and I signed up for direct deposit they didn't tell me 1st check would be mailed to Waffle House until I inquired about my check now there saying because Mon is a Holiday I have to wait...

2-2-2018 went in 9 15 pm, 5 servers....every table in the place dirty... people at only 2 spots. Servers were visiting with 2 people in street clothes who was charging her phone.standing in front of the register. 2 servers were on their phones. Took 5 min to be seated, 5 min to get drink. Food was quick, after she told the cook 3 times what to make. He was chatting with one of the two other guests already seated. Food was hot, fresh and overall awesome. Server was awesome after she focused on the guests other than the visitors not eating, who apparently knew the whole staff. Personally, I would fire the manager on duty, ( they are allowing this and ultimately responsible) replace half the staff and you would see revenue increase in 60-90 days. I will choose another Waffle House in Roanoke going forward. This locations staff is not focused on business, it appears to be more of a...
