This used to be our “go to” place. I’m not sure when it went downhill, but after eating there tonight, we (my granddaughter and I) will not be back. Friday early evening, getting busy, the table was sticky and had visible food stuck to it. I didn’t see a waitress for quite some time. I got up and got napkins to try to clear it myself, we just decided we would put napkins on the table because it was so gross. The house salad, I hope I don’t get sick, was wilted and actually some of the greens were rotting, I was too hungry and it was too hard to find a waitress and I didn’t wanna wait all day. I picked through what I could and didn’t eat the rest. The silverware was dirty, I had to get water and napkins and clean the silverware. Good lord seriously. We just reached a point where you just don’t care, so many disturbing issues with food service here, and would rather not say anything and never go back that’s where we are now. Walking to the dirty af restroom, I glanced in the kitchen area, shouldn’t have done that, didn’t tell my granddaughter, It was disgusting, there was food and debris all over the floor. I don’t know where the manager is here. I don’t even know if they are practicing serve safe like they are supposed to. (My work is OSHA so I’m not clueless, and serve safe). The dinner I received just seemed like old food. Loaded mashed potatoes that were lukewarm, mushy, not fresh, the $16.99 sirloin was not even very warm, tasted bland. I wonder what it looked like prior to cooking, if it stunk or was gray. I brought it home for my dog. The kid ate her pineapple. Brought the dried out chicken tenders home. Seriously, don’t waste your time or money here. I just arrived home and immediately in the bathroom. Ahem. I don’t know if it’s from the rotted lettuce or not. I won’t TMI any further on that. 🤢. So back to our good old standby, Applebee’s. Only reason we didn’t go there is due to traffic. Have been to this Chili’s a couple times, while it wasn’t great, it was a little more passable than tonight I will gladly sit in traffic from now on. That was a waste of $29.** and will not ever...
Read moreIf you are looking for a bad experience this is the place to go. I have been to many chili's and this one should permanently close. I know they will blame everything on the lack of staff, in my opinion it is way beyond that at this location. If you order a cocktail make sure it is a margarita or else they won't have the liquor or other items to make it. Don't look at the walls because they are filthy with food splatter and stains from not cleaning. The only seating they have is in the bar area and there is huge fly problem, fruit flies and others, constant swatting will be the game not the table top kiosk. The food is over cooked, the steak came out with a nasty blackened crust which means the grill is not being properly cleaned. The nacho's are soggy which means they were over cooked or left in the window to long, the jalapeno's were limp (old/out of date), and no flavor and the plate of southwestern egg rolls looked like a 3 year old put it together. If you order/ask for anything extra (steak sauce, salsa, guacamole) be prepared not to get it or to wait for it until you're almost done with your meal. It feels and looks like no one here is held responsible for anything. I have been to many Chili's recently because they are one of my favorite restaurants to go to but this one should not be allowed to stay open. If the Health Department went in, it would be shut down. Read moreEdit: So there is no way to get in touch with Corporate. I have also called the Rochester Hills location several times. I called 2 days ago and was put on hold for 10 mins. Called back and the employee said the manager was doing an interview and that’s why she put me in hold. Really you knew she was doing an interview, then take my number and have the manager call me back. WOW. So today I have been trying to call the Rochester Hills location again and have been on hold over 4 mins each time, to get a recording there having technical difficulties. It’s so sad that this is what we have to deal with when it comes to customer service and our food.
So this is what I got from my DoorDash order. I contact the location, asked for the manager. Sat on hold for 6 mins. Finally the manager got on the phone, I will keep her name off this as this is not her fault. Update:
Whomever cooked the food and the person who should check the food before it goes out to the door are completely at fault. She took my name and payment info that I used and now let’s see if I get my money back. I will be back to post an update. This is so sad. I used to come to this location a lot. Always got the same thing....
