This was our first visit to Potbelly, and overall, the experience was just okayânothing terrible, but not particularly memorable either.
We ordered the Southwest Chicken Wrap, which sounded promising. While the wrap itself was decent, the ordering process was confusing and honestly a bit frustrating. We had to repeat our order to three different people, which made the experience feel disorganized and inefficient. First, we placed the order with one employee, but then the person making the wrap asked us again what we had ordered. Finally, when we went to pay, the cashier also asked what our order was. This back-and-forth made the process feel clunky and inconvenient, especially for first-time customers. It wasnât clear why the system required us to repeat our order multiple timesâit would be much smoother if it were handled by a single person or entered into a system everyone could see.
As for the wrap itself, it was okay. The bread was probably the best part. It had a pleasant texture and helped hold everything together well. The filling, on the other hand, didnât really stand out. The flavors were mild, and nothing about it felt especially âSouthwestâ or bold. It wasnât bad, but it also wasnât something Iâd go out of my way to order again.
The restaurant itself was clean, and the staff were friendly, which we appreciated. Service was relatively quick despite the awkward ordering setup. With a more streamlined ordering process and some improvement in flavor or creativity in the food, Potbelly could be a stronger option.
For now, Iâd say it was a decent but average first visitânot a must-return spot, but not a total...
Read moreOver the last year, I had nothing but stellar service but in the last 7 days two of my orders have been incomplete. I thought the missing item may have been an oversight, however, when I inquired today I was advised they were all out this particular topping. I probably would've canceled the entire order had I known up front instead of having to pick through my order before I left just to see if it was correct & take time to alert the staff it wasn't. I'm pretty particular about my favorite salad. I do like this location because I leave the gym across the lot & always pick up lunch or dinner and the staff is always pleasant. I'll try again in a few...
Read moreI had a simple tuna sandwich on wheat bread, skinny. I was in the mood for this and I was tired of waiting to be seated just next door at Panera. The Rochester location was empty and I donât understand that. The sandwich was excellent and far better then the vanilla brand of fair served at Panera.
The bread had a crunchy submarine length and was a rustic wheat that was baked in the shop. It rocked.
I will be back. I like it when on a simple sandwich a place gets the details correct. I ordered mine with onions, lettuce and tomato.
Thank you to you folks for a...
