This will be my first and last time from your restaurant. It's obvious we are just paying for a name and not the food. I ordered two take out orders last night. One for tacos (steak), and one for tamales (chicken). My girlfriend was there with her 2 daughters and 2 sons celebrating my daughters birthday and spent a lot of money and I asked her to bring me a separate order of food to take home.
What I got was unbelievable. The tacos order came with 4 tortillas, only one had little pieces of grilled steak the other tortillas was flat and empty. I also ordered sides of rice and beans. The beans were minimal at best.
The other order was for tamales (chicken). Instead of chicken I got shredded beef in it which there was hardly any beef at all only dough. Let me tell you something, I have eaten chicken, beef, pork Colombian tamales before and there was no comparison. There was hardly any beef at all. I had planned on eating the tamales for the next day but because there was minimal beef in the tacos I was still hungry so I had to eat the few pieces that were with the tacos and the few small pieces of meat that were with the tamales and I was still hungry.
I paid $30 for these two take out orders. It's atrocious I paid that amount for this. My advice to you is to fill up your tacos/tamales with meat or any other item on your menu. Don't be so frugal. People expect what they order in quantity and quality just like you order take out from a Chinese restaurant.
Totally unhappy with what I received last night. I just want people to know or to at least check what they are ordering and it is to their satisfaction. If you were still open I would have returned it last night to get...
Read moreI can't say enough about the amazing experience I had here last night. I came to meet a few colleagues and brought my 1-year old daughter with me. Usually she is amazing in restaurants but she had been cranky the last few days (teething), so I was actually pretty nervous about what to expect.
By the time our entrees arrived, she did not want to sit in that chair one second longer. Usually she just wants to walk around, and since we were there for an early dinner the restaurant was pretty scarce, so I let her out... but she had other plans. She wanted to hang out with all the staff!
When I tell you every. single. one. of the staff was amazing with her... I mean EVERY one. They were all totally indulging her, doting on her, playing with her... this went on and off for a good 90-minutes, with her letting me sit long enough to gobble down my food before she wanted to go back to her new friends. It was SO heartwarming to see my baby so happy playing with all the servers, and to see them being so kind to her (and myself).
I'm sure I don't have to tell any other parents how anxious it can be going out to eat with a baby, not wanting to disturb others' experience but also wanting to keep your baby happy... and the staff there went totally above and beyond to make sure she was happy. I truly can't thank them enough or recommend this restaurant enough!! You guys have a new customer for life :)
(Side note: the food was also a-mazing! I'm not really a guacamole person but my friend ordered it and when I had it.. O-M-G!! So yummy, I highly recommend trying it...
Read moreVery Poor experience... I loved our waiter he was very friendly but that was the best experience of the restaurant... The food was absolutely horrible. Food was not seasoned at all, and not properly cooked... I ordered the chicken tamales, and it was such a small quantity... The quantity a 7 year old child would eat.. At the cost of $15... The tamales were so dry, the chicken inside was bland and tasteless, almost unedible... The rice served on the side tasted and looked like canned rice or rice that has been sitting around for days...I left feeling very hungry and sick... my father ordered a vegetable salad bowl... all the vegetables were given whole and uncut ( giant pieces of carrots and tomatoes thrown on top carelessly). Any chef with culinary background would know that's a big error. Clearly the chefs do not care about their customer and do not have proper culinary experience... My father complained that his salad was bland and unseasoned. My sister ordered a chimichanga and her chimichanga had giant pieces of uncut cauliflower and carrots uncut just thrown into it... And she kept complaining how the food was FLAVORELESS. Even the soda had a really bad after taste!! I've had numerous other Mexican restaurants ( Don Jose, Jose Tejas, On the Border) and this restaurant does not compare to their quality of food: go to them if you want authentic quality Mexican food, this was by far the worst Mexican restaurant in terms of food I have ever been to in my life!...
