Update went again and second time was even worse and luckily I had a free double protein so I could get a regular serving. Plenty of workers they just all seem miserable and rush through chucking meager topping on it not caring. Wasn't even busy they just didn't care.
Unfortunately, my recent experience at Chipotle left much to be desired. While I used to be a fan, several aspects of this visit have significantly lowered my opinion of the establishment. Firstly, the portion sizes were noticeably small. For the price paid, the amount of protein and other fillings felt meager, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and frankly, a bit ripped off. It's a far cry from the generous scoops I remember. Adding to the underwhelming food was the rushed and unfriendly service. The servers seemed intent on moving the line along as quickly as possible, barely making eye contact and hurrying through my order. There was no sense of care or customer service, just a feeling of being processed. This hurried atmosphere likely contributed to the lack of cleanliness I observed. The counter area felt messy, with spilled food and ingredients not being promptly wiped down. It didn't create a very appetizing or hygienic environment. Perhaps the most disheartening aspect was the general demeanor of the workers. They seemed visibly irritated and unhappy to be there. This negative energy was palpable and made the entire experience feel unpleasant. From curt responses to sighs, it was clear that the staff was not enjoying their work, which unfortunately impacted the customer experience. Overall, my recent visit to Chipotle was a letdown. The combination of small portions, rushed and unfriendly service, questionable cleanliness, and seemingly disgruntled employees has made me reconsider whether I will be returning anytime soon. There are other fast-casual options available that offer better value, service, and a more...
Read moreI have been going to Chipotle restaurants for many years and been to the Rockford location over a hundred times. Yesterday, 12/27/2017, I went in for the last time to that location for my usual, chicken bowl. The gentleman behind the counter, who claimed to be the manager, gave me literally the smallest portion of chicken I have ever seen at any chipotle locations including that very location. The spoon was barely full,, like half full. I was like oh wait, well, can I get double chicken because there is barely any chicken. He proceeded to give me the same, half spoon full chicken again. I hate complaining about things in general, I told the person that what happened, why suddenly the portions were cut in half. He said thats been the case there. I was like no, because I visited that location many times on a regular basis. Long story short, the exchange was very civil and he said he was the manager and did not have the decency to add more chicken, or should say the "proper amount" and proceeded me to the check out. I ended up paying for double chicken when i had just a single serving of chicken in my bowl. It isn't about the food or money, it is the principle of things in this case. I was very disappointed the way the manager brushed it off and just walked away. He should not be a manager there or should be very well trained on how to treat customers. I have been a loyal chipotle customer and this just put a bad taste in my mouth...
Read moreWORST SERVICE EVER!!!! I called this evening to place an order for pick up, because, ya know, I was driving and didn’t want to place an online order while on the road. I called in an attempt to place a phone order, and the rep who answered the phone, Maya, basically just told me I needed to order online and hung up on me — didn’t wait for me to say “ok” nor did she say “thank you” or “have a good night” or anything, just hung up. Had the automated system said they were only taking online orders, I would understand, but there’s an option to place a phone order.
So, I place an online order, but I knew from calling just minutes before there was an option to alert the staff you were there for your order, so i called. Once again, I got Maya. I said I’d placed an order and was here. She said, “You have to come in to pick it up.” No big surprise there, I just told her I was using the phone option because I was a little early (because I was already on the way to the restaurant when I placed my order). I explained that to her and again, she just said, “Ok” and hung up on me. Didn’t ask for my info or anything. How did this chick get a job interacting with the public?!?! Considering it’s glorified Taco Bell and 3x the price, I won’t be going back anytime soon. I’d call to ask for a manager, but I’m sure if Maya answers again, there’s no way I’ll get through...
