Denny's — Restaurant in Rockford Township

THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE WORST restaurant I’ve been too! We ate there Saturday. Waited 15 mins before we got seated and there were tables open in back. Other people waited longer than us. Got taken back to our table and the guy that took us back was very nice then he asked this young waitress to bring us a high chair for my baby and she brought one with food all over in it! Not just stuck on it but fresh food. Never was it wiped down. I had to do it myself. I mean come on it’s like she grabbed it from another table and just gave it to us. She saw it how could you not yet she set it down and walked away. Our waitress seemed nice started off good came took our orders got us our drinks came back right away. We ordered cheese sticks for kids asked to have them as an appetizer and they came out with our food. Our food was cold. My husband got sick after eating his because he said his French toast tasted like garlic. It’s as if they cook it all on the same griddle side. Our waitress NEVER ONCE came back to check on us. We put our coats on waiting for our ticket so we could pay and get out of there! We sat for 10 mins and she was at the table next to us she walked by 3 times never said a word! She had to walk by my husband and I to get through so she did see us. Never said I’ll be back with your check nothing. Came back finally handed us our check and we left. 45$ later for crappy service and crappy food ya never again! Wow has this place gone down hill. I think servers need to be trained better here. A lot of them were very young which is fine but not trained. My daughter is a waitress and if she’d been like that she would of been fired! Not how you treat customers. I’d stay...

In our 4 person party only 2 of us received food the way we ordered it. I ordered the lumber jack meal with with scrambled eggs with cheese, ham, bacon, sausage links and hash browns with cheese with a extra stack on the side. However I get my food with no cheese on the hash browns. My sister ordered the new jalapeno burger no pickles with onion rings instead of fries. And she received her burger with some not so edible looking Onion rings. The waitress then takes both of our plates to the back left me with only my pancakes. Then she comes back with only my sister's burger. As of she just went and tossed the onion rings in the trash. Ewwww. So my sister complains and takes her burger back because why would you take my whole plate on only bring the burger back. We were upset but we stayed calm. So we go outside to clear our minds and that's when she brings my food back and my sisters onion rings. We come back inside after a 5 min breather and her burger is back and "fresh". However my food is cold whole plate hash browns dry as a hell. Toast almost broke my teeth as I bit it. My sister onion rings were fresh however she hates pickles with a passion and her burger comes back loaded with pickles. We inform the waitress and she said to us "Well ok what do you want me to do" we told her we just wanted the check we were ready to go. She then said " Well I will inform manager" and proceeds to go to the 2 tables behind us as if we didn't just have a problem with our food. After about 8-10 mins she returns with the check without taking anything off our order then disappears until after we have discussed not liking our service with a different manager. Haven't been to Denny's in a few years so we decided to try it again. When we walked in it took 10 mins to be seated with no wait. The hostess was very polite and apologized for taking so long. The waitress grabed my friends cane and said I am moving this and put it behind her. Then when the same waitress finally came to the table. My friend asked for water and lemon which she orders every time we go out because shes diabetic. I asked for sweet tea because I cannot drink coke products. She said all she had was raspberry. I dont like raspberry so we all ended up just getting water. My friend then asked if the waitress could refill the sugar because she wanted Splenda. The waitress rudely asked her is it for your water? My friend said yeah. She said she would bring it back. When we got our food she still didnt bring it back so we asked if she could take the sugar container and bring us back some sugar. The waitress then rudely asked what kind and we said all of them. She took the container and walked away. We called her back to the table and asked for sugar again. She then said even more rudely for future reference you will have to pay for the sugar and lemon. We asked to speak to the manager. She said she will be out when she was done. When the manager came out to the table I told her I am not one to complain but the waitress is being very rude and we tried to explain what happened.
