Absolutely the worse experience at a restaurant ever. No communication between the couple of employees. I ordered lamb and instead of informing me they were out, they pulled a bait and switch on me and gave me chicken instead. I pointed that out and the plate was taken in the back. The cook came out to finally tell me they were out of lamb. He was very irritated and asked if I wanted a refund or replacement. I was hungry so I wanted to order. I had to read the menu again so that made him more agitated as he wanted an answer immediately. When I picked my replacement, they tried to charge me the less than a dollar price difference. I thought that was ridiculous since it was their mistake and didn't inform me to begin with. So I just said I'll take the refund instead. The funny thing is, they then shortchanged me by that less than a dollar amount!! I was in disbelief in how greedy they were over a dollar! I was with my mom who wanted to try the stuffed grape leaves. So they took her payment for them. Meanwhile, she gave me her chicken thigh since I wasn't getting anything to eat. But then I bit into the middle where it was red. I showed them. I wasn't upset or yelling or demanding a refund, just showing them. The cook lost his cool and started yelling at us like a maniac. He was asking why it took 20 minutes for me to tell him. (Umm because I didn't get my food that I ordered due to their mistakes and all the rigamarole involved) Yelled at us because it was late, like 40 minutes before closing. They could have told us kitchen was closed but they still took our order for food they didn't have. Yelling at us because we got refunds. Oh yeah, my mom asked when we would be getting the grape leaves. They were out of those too and didn't bother telling us until she asked, but took our money. He was very mad for having to refund food we didn't even receive. This is no way to treat any customer, but especially two first time customers. I, visibly being 9 months pregnant and double hungry. And a woman in her 70s! They did end up offering to give us a free meal after they realized they were in the wrong. However, they said it had to be at opening the next day. Read moreWe work at a very busy medical practice and rely on delivery services for lunch many days of the week. We placed an order from Ali baba via Uber eats and received a portion of our meal. My general manager had to leave our facility to go get the rest of the food (kefta kabob, salad, and grape leaves) as Ali baba would not deliver it and upon bringing back what she thought would have been the rest of our complete order, found out we still had items missing from our expensive order (no grape leaves). On top of that, I had ordered kefta kabob but was instead given a skewer of chicken kabob with very oily rice. To compensate for the mistake on their part, they gave us a few extra pieces of cheap pita bread. Neither Uber eats nor Ali baba would refund us for the incomplete order but said next time you come we will give you the missing items, which we already paid for, for “free” along with some extra cheap pita bread. Really? How about you give us a large hummus along with some fresh made bread and instead deliver it to us as well! Again we are a very busy medical practice and to take time away from our patients to go get food like this was ridiculous! The manager/owner was also hurrying her up to lock the door and close. I understand that but the fact that I was just standing by the door waiting for the car to be brought up so my kiddos won’t get cold and having to wait 1 min to get out is what made this all rude.
