I decided to do bundt cakes for my vow renewal in May because I wanted something different and I had heard positive things about this place. I ordered my cakes over a year in advance and seemed to have no problems until a week or so before the event. They called to confirm delivery and order of the cakes to make sure they were correct. Then two days before my event I was told they no longer carried Marable cake and the catering manager failed to be the one to take my confirmation order and the staff wasn't informed so I was forced to pick new flavors for my event and was told that she would be delivering them at 2:00 which was perfect with my ceremony ending at 4:30. But she dropped them off before noon which I wasn't planning on having so my photos were taking place at this time, but I was lucky to have my maid of honor handle the cakes while doing photos. I feel like I could have been notified sooner of the cakes and the change in drop off time. But the cakes themselves were absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing so for that I am grateful. Would recommend as long as they keep you informed of any changes a week before...
Read moreSo I got a postcard in the mail from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and with a name like that, I had to visit. The mailer also offered a free "bundtlett" cake. I did not know what that was, but I know what free means. We stopped in during morning errands, and the people were top notch nice! They recognized the postcard and showed me the section of cakes.
I asked how much the cakes are normally, and it was roughly $4. Not a bad price for a super sized cupcake/muffin. There were about eight flavors and they ALL looked AMAZING! The lady said they've been open just a week, so I bought one in addition to the freebie. I tried some of each when we arrived home and they are SCRUMPTIOUS!!!! You probably can't go wrong with any of the flavors. They are neatly packaged for a quick 'to go' escape from the store too.
They have larger cakes, and sounds like they take orders too for special occasions. I didn't ask about any of the other prices, but I can see myself stopping by for a bundlett in the near future. Good experience, good people. ...
Read moreI love Nothing Bundt Cake. BUT during this Coronageddon, my boyfriend wanted to surprise me with having cake delivered to me. He used online, but it was not working, so he called the store and he was told the online service was set up to "block certain areas in Rockford." WOW! Now, we live on the West Side, it's not for everyone, some people are just geographical wimps, but to be told by an employee, "we don't go there because it's sketchy," kind of just made me lose respect. They also would not deliver to my work off 173 & I90. After a few more back and forth calls, they finally agreed to deliver to the West Side of Rockford. Like I said, I freaking LOVE the cake, but my suggestion is to not discriminate customers based off the area they live in. OR at the very least don't say this stuff out loud to your customers. It can be hurtful and it will and does leave a bad taste...
