I called to order Pizza & hot wings @4:50pm .. was told it’s a 1.5 to 2 hour wait for delivery... ok.. so I asked how long if I pick it up instead? She said 45min ... So I arrive 1 hour (5:50pm) after placing my order, I pay for my order, I grab my 2-Liter walk it to my car, come back in to wait.... 3-5min goes by & a girl calls me up to counter to say how sorry she is but my order hasn’t even been started yet.. mind you it’s now been 1 hour & 10 minutes (6pm) since I placed order.. she proceeded to tell me my 2 options.. 1- get a refund & leave with no dinner for my family 2- wait another 45-60min for my order... obviously if I go anywhere else to order a pizza now it’s going to be another hour wait hence why I tried to avoid this wait by ordering earlier than usual as I knew places would be busy tonight .. It’s unbelievable to me how it was handled though .. Treating customers like their time & gas $$ doesn’t matter! (Yes I was not the only customer that arrived to be told it would be another 45min) We’ve always loved there pizza but this may be the last straw as this is NOT the 1st time something like this has happened with this place & my order within the past 6 months.. A few months ago I ordered 2 large pizzas, arrived to pick it up but they had only made 1 pizza .. basically same options given.. just take the 1 pizza or wait 25min for the other pizza.. couple weeks ago we added wings to our order & used delivery.. wings were ice cold when we got them (young lady who took my complaint over the phone did replace wings next visit which was the exact right thing for her to have offered).. Tonight I finally left with my food about 6:40pm ... I have to admit the Pizza was great, hot wings not crispy actually kind of soggy so I put them in my oven to fix that.. Hard time deciding how many stars I should give .. I ended up giving 3 stars cause while the wait was ridiculously rude & the wings not crispy, the pizza was great.. if I would’ve reviewed at the very moment I was told my order had not even been started I would’ve given 1 star .. So we opened up trusty google and started looking for a city we wanted to stop at, and Rockford seemed like a good place to gas up, stretch, and grab a bite to eat. So we started searching for pizza places, which Rockford seemed to have plenty of. After reading about an hour of reviews and looking what wasn't too far out of the way, we narrowed it down to a few places, and ultimately, we chose Vinnys from the reviews and pictures on Google. We called ahead and asked if we could place an order for dine in and told them when we would be there. They said no problem, and with that, we showed up right on the time we gave them, and within 5 minutes , we enjoyed some of the best pizza we have ever had. We ordered 3 thin crust pizzas, and let me tell you the crust was crispy and airy. The sauce was just right, and the toppings tasted fresh and were plentiful. I stop at many locations on my travels from around the country, and Vinnys is right up there with the best of them. Customer service was also great, very friendly, and attentive. Read moreI placed an order for a hurricane and 3 orders of bread sticks to feed the 8 kids that were at my house for new yrs eve. Placed the order at 6:30 pm over the phone was told an hr for delivery. At 8:30 pm pizza still had not arrived called back was told the driver was behind but my pizza would be the next to be delivered which was concerning in its self since the pizza had probably been waiting for over an hr. Didn't say much since I spent the rest of my money on it with a bunch of hungry kids. Pizza never came and they stopped answering the phone. Called back the next day was told oh we can bring it now. Um no I ordered and paid for the food yesterday not today. Asked who the manager was was told she could not give out his name when i asked for hers she refused to give it to me also. Have called for the last 10 days and am constantly told there is no manager there to speak with 😡 I have filled a dispute with my card company and will be filling a complaint with the BBB. At this point I consider this theft!! How can u charge someone for a service don't deliver then refuse to give a refund. Yall messed up and should own up not try to keep my hard earned money period!!...
