A Culinary Gem in Rockland: 13 Oak Settles in nicely It’s a pleasure to stumble upon a restaurant that strikes the perfect balance between refined simplicity and culinary excellence. 13 Oak has managed to do just that, earning its place as a new favorite. From the moment you step inside, the understated elegance of the interior invites you to settle in and focus on what truly matters—the food. And what a feast it is. Each dish, from start to finish, is a testament to the kitchen’s dedication to perfection. Flavors are layered thoughtfully, with every bite revealing a new nuance, while the presentation remains artfully restrained. Service, is impeccable. The staff at 13 Oak are attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that your experience is as seamless as the food is delicious. The only miss was the menu was poorly printed. It’s an easy fix and made some of the menu items hard to read. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, 13 Oak is not to be missed. It’s a restaurant that delivers in every way, making it a standout in Rockland’s dining scene. I will definitely be going back.

I came for the chowder but it was not on the menu the day I visited, so I went with the scallop risotto with mushroom and bacon. The presentation was awesome, the scallops were plump and tender, but unfortunately the whole dish (minus the scallops) turned out waaaayyyyyyy too salty. At first I thought it was due to the bacon bits, but even without the bacon the risotto was still salty so I think whoever prepared the rice didn’t do taste tasting before serving… The dessert of the day (triple berry tart) was alright, it was served warm with whipped cream on top. I think there were apple slices in it because it had something crunchy in the filling, which I thought was a nice surprise. If I were in a group and ordered a huge meal, I would have asked to make the risotto again. (I came alone and one hour before closing, so I felt a bit self conscious). Would love to come back for the chowder. But that would be about it.

“A Culinary Masterpiece!” I recently dined at 13 Oak, and I was blown away by the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. The food, however, was the true star of the night. Every dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The chef’s attention to detail and creativity shone through in every bite. If you’re looking for a place to indulge in a truly unforgettable meal, look no further. Highly recommend!

Little doubt they would kill it, even during the soft opening. Rada and team have many things that I enjoy about dining with them here (and Fresh * Co in Camden) - but the one thing I really love, and rely on is the consistency.

We were here last night celebrating a birthday, we tried a few small dishes and all got entrees - every single one was perfectly seasoned and delicious. But that is what I have come to expect when I dine at either location. Always, consistently delicious, hot, ample portions - you never leave hungry.

The service was also exceptional, as always. Very friendly and attentive, drinks always full, plates cleared in a timely manner, no notes.

There is a small 5 person bar as well, which is nice if you just want to try and beat the lines (there WILL be lines, I promise you that)

Don't miss out on this new spot, it's cozy for sure so make a reservation, you don't want to miss out on this spot. If you liked Cafe Miranda, this will easily carry the legacy of superb food and a wonderful location. Also, it's right next to LuLu's so that's pretty sweet also.

Thank you Rada and team for an always consistently amazing...
