Amato's — Restaurant in Rockland

I come to the rockland amatos every summer and look forward to their return because I love their italians. But this year I have been here twice and the first time a cpl things were forgotten off the sandwhich which wasn't a big deal but the second time we sat in the car while waiting for our food to be made which the whole time the female worker was taking money, using the phone and preparing the sandwhiches all while NOT wearing any gloves (the owner was) which completely grossed me out and made me doubt ever coming back here again which is a huge...

A fun eclectic place for a lite lunch. The sandwiches are the main stage, but they apparently have pizza, though I would not say this is a pizza restaurant. Before arriving I wanted to try the Chicken Parmigiana sandwich, but after asking the gentleman taking my order what is best, I took his recommendation and went with the Meatball Parmigiana. I know I chose correctly! It was delicious and even my Italian wife approved of the tomato sauce’s authenticity - tasted like tomatoes and not sugar. It was well priced too.
