EDIT: Well they are at it again. Love the atmosphere, love the service, but certain food items are overpriced. I bought a stack of three pancakes and a stack of two pancakes. The stack of three pancakes they charged me $3.50 a pancake. The stack of two pancakes they charged me $2.50 a pancake. This makes no sense except to make more $$ for themselves. When speaking with a manager about it, he was very rude and response was nasty. Certain things I love about this restaurant and certain things are overpriced. I guess that’s how they make their extra money. If this bothers you like it does me then look over the prices and ask questions being thorough before you order.

Love this establishment, the store is so fun, the atmosphere is happy and I love going there, The last time I went there I was not quite thrilled. For one simple reason. I ordered a side of bacon. I was brought ONE small slice on a plate and charged $2.50! I was shocked. I asked the waitress what is this? She said sides come in 1,2 or 3 slices of bacon. Then she just stared at me. I was in shock. I know the cost of bacon, I know CB is making a killing off serving bacon. There is zero reason even with the inflated nation we live in to charge 2.50 for a small slice of bacon. I buy a Costco size bacon pack for $12. I get roughly 25 slices of bacon. CB makes roughly $65 off the same pack of $12 bacon. I will still go to Cracker Barrel but I will definitely look closer at what they are charging, and stop ordering certain foods...

My son and I went there yesterday.Hey God, but Hey beany biscuits and I got the new.Pot roast casserole. Both of our foods did not come out hot at all My son says his And mine was super cold and even came in a cast iron pan. Our waitress never came back to check on us when I got up. Finally to find Somebody. That's when she saw me and asked if I was looking for the bathroom. I said no. I'm looking for the manager. I explained to her about the foodid and she came back and said she took off my bill. When we went to pay, you gotta pay in the gift shop because it wouldn't let us pay with a gift card at the table. So when we got to the gift shop, the line was long and the hostess said. There's only 2 of us. So please be patient with us. Which I was and so my son and I shopped around the gift shop for a while. Then I got in line. And when I got up to pay the cashier was supernice. I talked in a low voice. And just asked to speak to the manager the manager came. I didn't get the manager's name, but he was really apologetic about the service that we got and the food and asked us to police come back on them and gave us a another gift card for 2 free Mills, 2 free drinks and 2 free desserts. So I will try to go back and try it one more time.Cause he was super nice. Plus they were shorthanded , he said he had a few...

Update: Obviously came back lol our new friends Chantel and James weren't there, (sad face) but we made it close to close and we're treated as if it was still middle of day, we're taken good care of, Meredithe was an absolute doll and very hard working. She took great care of us! Stevo was working in gifts and we got to chatting and was fun as well! Always a joy to come here and make the commute from where we're staying (visiting family from canada). THANKS SO MUCH GUYS XOXO yall are amazing! Thanks for all the apple tea top ups!!!

My boyfriend loves cracker barrel, and we are in town to visit my family so of course we had to come. We're from Vancouver BC Canada and this is the closest now. We were just expecting good food and we havnt even left yet but had to write a review about Chantel. She blew me away, she was so awesome. Got to chatting about how I lived here, our old neighborhoods, our childhood, and was just so attentive and got us everything we needed. It's like she knew we were from afar and made sure it was perfect. She's adorable! She also told us working here is fun and the foods she loves and she's super sad her manager Sean is leaving. So from the Canadians....how could you Sean!? Lol! Just a great visit snd now we're coming back again before we go and hope she's working!...

Lives up to the name. I went while in the area and appreciated the general store kind of vibe. It reminds me of the places we would go to as kids when going camping to re-supply. It is very country themed with a lot of antique decorations of yesteryear. You enter to the general/country style store and ask to be seated. You also have to return to that area to pay. Since there is so much stuff in the store that area/alley gets busy with people waiting for take out and people waiting to pay. I would re-think that area if it was my restaurant to allow for more space and entrance/egress but that's just my design mind thinking. I went there for breakfast. It was pretty busy (and loud). The menu selection is interesting as they have your traditional americana breakfast selections but some of them have a twist to them. The hashbrowns are casserole style and each meal comes with biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are home made and were a hit with the guest I was with. I ordered the fried chicken breakfast and although good, there was an aftertaste to it. Possibly using oil past it's prime? I wasn't too sure. If you like the down home country feel this place has it in spades. Our server was great but you can tell she had a lot on her plate that morning. I would go back if I was in the area.

It was my 1st time here!! An "Old West" feeling with delish southern country comfort style food with a modern flare. While waiting for our table I found their General Store a fun place to shop. It was also 100° outside. I picked up a camping floppy hat, a light up snow globe skeleton head, 2 Princess Aurora Halloween costumes for my grandkids, and a fall style blouse for me. The food was AMAZING! I had the Maple Chicken dinner and hubby had the fried chicken. Both chicken meals were moist, super tasty and arrived quickly. Our server, Carolyn, was a kick and made it fun. If you haven't been, I recommend the macs and cheese as a side to your meal. If you've been but are going back, then have the suped up macs and cheese or the loaded tots. Got kids with you? Throw on a refreshing authentic chocolate milkshake. We didn't have room for dessert but they had a nice selection. I also found out that they're building one of these restaurants in my hometown of Reno, NV. I'm super stoked about that and will come back.

Best chain diner there is, I got nothing to complain about when dining at Cracker Barrel. The atmosphere of the restaurant and store is always so welcoming and warming. The service from the waitresses to the manager all feel as if you are dining at a small mom and pop eatery. I love the food variety they offer, consisting of bbq and southern classics such as fried chicken, fried catfish, chicken 'n dumplins, meatloaf, poboys, and much more! Some of my favorite fixins are the fried apples, biscuits & cornbread(gotta try both), fried okra, fried pickles, and mac 'n cheese. I recommend ordering the classic sampler or a fried chicken dinner. Their fried chicken is some of the best you will try, they use the breast of a chicken but keep it tender, crispy, flavorful, and NOT dry at all. I highly encourage anyone to dine in here and try Cracker Barrel at least once! Their hospitality is truly astounding!
