Compared to every other Dutch Bros I’ve went to (as a regular who orders the same thing every time — Annihilator or a Golden Eagle) this place is by far the worst one I’ve been at. I even tried applying to this Dutch but they told me that they had “just the right amount of people” — as I waited over half an hour in a drive thru line with 10+ cars sitting there. They are clearly understaffed and it takes an abhorrently long time just to get a single drink.
I have also had not one, two, but THREE times in a row where my drink was not what I have ordered and tasted completely off. One was where I ordered a blended Annihilator before work, the texture was off and it tasted fully like bananas instead of the macadamia nut taste. I can’t tell if they properly wash their dishes or just fully used the wrong syrup but either way it was completely messed up.
The second and third time I ordered a medium blended Golden Eagle — spent $8 on one drink — and it just straight up tasted like espresso coffee, no taste of vanilla or caramel. Incredibly disappointing. I came back and asked management about it and they told me they “ran out of blended freeze” — mind you, it’s only 12 PM when this happens — and it is upsetting to say the least when you pay this much for a drink without letting your customers know ahead of time before they pay the money for it. They remade it but I still had the same issue, and I was on my lunch at work at the time so I couldn’t waste anymore time asking to have it fixed again (and I spent an additional 15 minutes waiting for it to be remade at that).
Not only do they have ridiculous wait times (as one time I waited more than 10 minutes when there was only one car in front of me at SIX AM for my one drink) and mess up your drinks more than half the time, but they have horrible customer service. Every other Dutch I’ve been to they have been incredibly friendly and exceptional in customer service as they’re known for, but it’s like the workers there have not been trained for anything. Incredibly unprofessional and rude when serving you your drinks, 7 times out of 10. I would happily make the additional 15 minute drive to the next closest Dutch locations on Sunrise and Auburn Folsom than have to ever go to this...
Read moreI saw in the app today that you get a free duck with any large drink after 3pm. So I decided on my lunch to head over and get a drink. I love the Bob Marley and I rarely get it so it was going to be a treat for me. I walk inside and didn’t have to wait in line. The girl that took my order was fast and friendly. Within a matter of minutes my drink was ready and I was shocked at how fast they were. As I was walking out to my car sipping on my drink it didn’t taste right. Usually because the Bob Marley is a chocolate covered banana flavor I could taste the banana, but this clearly tasted like a coconut mocha. At first I was thinking I was just gonna drink it, but like I said, I was treating myself to the chocolate banana flavor, so I went back in and asked them to remake it. The girls weren’t busy so they were able to help me right away but immediately I can feel the vibe change. They said I can keep the other drink or throw it away as they remade my new drink. I was thinking of keeping the old drink and seeing if somebody at work wanted it but then I decided to throw it away. When I got my second drink it tasted a lot better, but I wasn’t happy with the service after that. One of the girls that gave me the drink didn’t even say anything she was just tapping the straw on the counter to get my attention and she was really rude. Luckily the chick who took my order popped out the window and asked me how was it and I said 100 times better and she was like yeah the color looks better, but as I was leaving I didn’t have a good feeling about going back. While waiting in line for over 30 minutes with 6 cars ahead of me I figured people had large orders but then was only seeing a drink or two passed out to each car in front of me. To my surprise, when I reached the window I saw only two people making drinks. One was running in and out to take orders in the drive thru. I asked the barista if they were the only two working this evening and was told it was only them. I asked If they were short and she told me that she has been asking the owners for more help because she was overwhelmed with the amount of business they get but have no coverage to help out. Apparently, a few were hired but laid off a few weeks later due to “over hiring”. While I love Dutch Bros I am very disappointed in this locations choices. How are these employees taking sufficient breaks if only two of them are running the show by themselves? Keep in mind, this location not only has a drive thru but also a cafe to come inside and place orders. I can see many reviews stating how slow this location is and can’t imagine working in an environment with upset and grumpy customers by the time they make it up to the window…these employees must feel beat down and plain tired. Very disappointed in the owners choices. I get things are tough right now but when you open a business that’s booming why are you not providing the appropriate amount of staff to support your business, running employees into the ground and creating upset customers?
